They used a newer method called trenchless were they dug a 4 by 4 hole by the house and one by the street and used a hydraulic pull machine fusing SDR17 pipe approx 60ft from the house to the street using 2 blue band strong back bands rated for 80 pounds keeping root intrusion out.
