As it turns out Steve knows John well and confirmed the concerns about constant running of a hot water recirculation system. He repaired my system and provided an inexpensive remote control timer ($20) that I've been using since. It's convenient, I keep it handy in my kitchen, and I find that I turn the recirculation on about twice a day for a while in the morning and maybe in the evening for washing dishes or a shower. At other times I don't worry about immediate hot water for hand washing etc. I'm happy with this arrangement and I expect I'm saving energy as well as wear and tear by not having constant hot water flow through the system. <br />"

However, once he started the work other complications were discovered such as mold behind the existing wall. Joey and his crew were able to take care of each issue and charged us a fair amount for the extra work performed. We were very impressed with his willingness to get the job done in a timely manner.
