McDonough's Services returned my call the same day I called them, and scheduled cleaning the pipe(s) the following day. I received another call the next day confirming someone would be out, and the technician called shortly after that to let me know he would be arriving within an hour, which he did. Chad was personable, and started the job right away.  He cleaned the pipes--to make sure they were clear--but he thought the major problem was the old cap he found lodged inside the pipe; this lodged cap prevented the water from draining properly and so the water backed up from our drain into our laundry room.  Chad said the cap was difficult to get out.  We are very grateful he found it as our laundry room flooding situation has been going on for a long time.  We were very pleased with McDonough?s Services, and would definitely hire them again.

"Dean's removed a large nonfunctioning halogen ceiling fixture with a small simple LED fixture that I provided. More importantly, Dean's replaced my electrical breaker box and all of the breakers and added a main shut off in the box so I don't have to run downstairs to the electric meter room to completely shut off my electricity. It wasn't cheap but well worth it. They also added a separate circuit and breaker for my bidet which was tripping the breaker hallway through the cycle, leaving me fumbling in the dark looking for my flashlight. "Great plumber!  If you're looking for an honest, thorough and affordable plumber I wouldn't look any further.

 I had problems with low pressure in my hot water.  I got three estimates and the other two guys (Southtown and Roark) insisted on replacing all the hot water steel pipes in the basement right to the water main for $3000-$4000.  

Chris had a much more reasonable approach.  He gave me an estimate with three choices 1)re-piping the first 10 feet or so, 2)re-piping all the hot steel pipes in the basement and 3) re-piping all the hot and cold steel pipes in the basement.  He was very flexible and said that he would try the least expensive option first, then if it didn't work, he would try the 2nd and 3rd if necessary.  He had two of his employees come out to do the re-piping.  It turned out that the least expensive option worked great, so I only had to spend a few hundred bucks.  Compared to the other estimates I got Chris saved me $2000-$3000.  Also, his estimate for repiping all the steel pipes was still less than half of what the other guys wanted to do the same work.  Chris came by after the piping was done and also fixed my problematic kitchen faucet for only an extra 50 bucks while he was here.  I'd definitely use them again."
