"We recently added new countertops as part of an overall kitchen remodel. We initially visited Universal Stone in late March after the place was highly recommended by one of the kitchen contractors we considered. Universal's great indoor showroom in Shakopee showcases a nice assortment of full slabs on display. It makes the selection process far easier, versus looking at smaller samples. We worked with Kelly in the Sales Department, who was very friendly, cooperative and informative. She provided a quote to us shortly after our initial visit and was very responsive in all subsequent communication. As our remodel didn't commence until late August, we continued to look at a few other places over the summer. We eventually returned to Universal and made our final selection. The gentleman who stopped out for the measurement was very efficient and pleasant. After payment was received, the fabrication of our countertops was prompt and the full installation occurred within two weeks. The Install crew were polite and skilled. There were no issues with the install whatsoever. We opted for the Black Pearl Granite for the primary, larger countertop and the Invictus Quartzite countertop for a second free standing smaller cabinet. Once installed, both countertops looked great. I highly recommend Universal. They've got a nice product selection and their team provided solid customer service. Lastly, we found their overall pricing structure to be affordable and competitive. A job well done. Thanks for the great work!"

The workers were punctual, polite, kept me informed, and cleaned-up the mess well (a few drops of adhesive left on the floor).</p> <p>The quality of the product is less than I expected.  The surface develops rough spots eve though I use only the recommended cleaner.</p> <p>Arrange your own plumber, do not use the sub-contracted plumber.  I had to correct one bathroom sink where the hot and cold feeders were crossed.    I had to replace the kitchen faucet - stripped threads led to a leak that ruined the floor of the counter.</p> <br />"

"From the very start, working with Cassandra was a delight.  She walked us through the different type of stones they carried and asked what we were using it for.  The measurement was quick and ontime.  During the measurement it was noted that our walls weren't perfectly even and that there would be a slight gap on the granite backslash  that could be filled in with epoxy.  The install went perfectly and we are thrilled with our master bath counter.  We would definitately use All American Granite again! <br />"

"When they were done Josh had color matched it so well you couldn't even tell where the new insert ended and the old surface began. The surface has a slight texture now making it slip resistant. It also no longer gives under weight and feels very solid. I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. The work was done right before Christmas and they had a couple of sick employees. So they had to reschedule to the day after the original schedule. So the owner, Josh, did the work himself, in the evening! You don't get better service than that! We had family visiting so we were very happy they could get the job done before they arrived! I spoke to three of their people and all of them were very knowledgeable, nice, and a pleasant to work with. I would certainly recommend them (and will)."

"Cleaning went  well. My mom's house had just sold, and we were cleaning the carpet for the buyers. Greg was clear about what the company could and could not do about the dirt and wear on the light-colored carpeting. A standard steam cleaning a year ago by another company hadn't done much for the dirt and wear tracks. Surface Surgeons' method did a much better job on the stairs and the wear in the high-traffic areas is definitely less visible. There are still some darker areas in front of where the sofas were, and a few streaks were left when the carpet dried, but again, a considerable improvement. The buyers were satisfied. <br /> We had a couple of communication glitches. I wanted a written estimate, but never received the promised email. The day of the service, they called to say they needed to come a couple of hours later than scheduled. It was somewhat inconvenient because the house was unoccupied and I had to rearrange my plans to be there. Other than that, it was fine.
