"I waited a month before getting a test kit I called and was told there was something wrong with the Angies list orders but that I would be receiving a kit soon. It wouldve ben nice if they called me to tell me that though. The test results were quick and on par with other radon test I had done locally."

"Jeremy's service was exceptional. He called us back very quickly and was able to explain clearly over the phone the difference between the lead inspection and risk assessment, so that we could make a decision on how we wanted to move forward. We were working under a short due-diligence time frame (purchasing a house), and he was able to come out very quickly. I walked around with him as he did all the testing, and he explained everything as we went along. Afterward, he sent us a written report detailing the locations of lead paint in the house and analyzing the samples he took for lead hazards. If you have any concerns about lead in your house, he is THE PERSON to call. He is extremely knowledgeable, and I learned so much just from observing him doing the testing. These services are well worth the money as they give you all the information you need about the dangers of lead paint in your house. Jeremy also gave me a list of contractors who could give us options for dealing with the lead paint, and everyone he referred me to was extremely responsive.  <br /> Jeremy was the best person we worked with during our home buying process. I highly highly highly recommend him. <br />"

"I was hesitant at first to use Prism as this is the company my Realtor recommended. However I heard good things from other sources so I agreed to use them and I am glad I did. Prism was great to work with. They were able to schedule my home inspection right away, the inspector was on time and did a wonderful job for us. Though the home was new construction the inspector found several defects including: some bad wiring and missing electric outlets that should have been caught by the city inspector, our hot water heater was installed on the garage floor not elevated as required, again the city missed this. In the end our contractor agreed to fix all the defects found. I would encourage anyone looking for a home inspection to call these guys."

"No more leaks. Did the job by taking off roofing and paper, and replacing plywood underneath as well as new paper and roofing. Would have been nice to have a better color match, but not a huge issue. Good work and prompt, but for 4 hours work it seemed very expensive."

"For those of you already weary from reading the first part, I will give you a break. Mr. Lampro is One Spectacular Professional. For the rest of you, read on. For me, professionalism is having the expertise to do the right thing in the right way at the right time. I understand <br /> that people need to make a living but if you are ?professionally reputable? you not only demonstrate that you possess a qualified skill-set and knowledge base, you exhibit an enthusiasm for doing the best job possible. You are not only polite but you feel a responsibility to ?partner? with your client in a complete and thorough discussion of your work. Everyone purchasing real estate has heard somewhere the phrase ?caveat emptor.? To that I would add,? You don?t always get what you pay for, but you rarely get more.? Mr. Lampro is one of those professionals who give you everything they?ve got, and in my estimation, something more. He fully met and exceeded my expectations. Not only did I get an extremely thorough report, I got an education and the peace of mind I needed to decide that at this age I know my limitations. I decided that I couldn?t even make an offer on the property.  <br /> <br />"

A home inspection is a limited, non-invasive examination of the condition of a home, often in connection with the sale of that home. Home inspections are usually conducted by a home inspector who has the training and certifications to perform such inspections. The inspector prepares and delivers to the client a written report of findings. The client then uses the knowledge gained to make informed decisions about their pending real estate purchase. The home inspector describes the condition of the home at the time of inspection but does not guarantee future condition, efficiency, or life expectancy of systems or components.

"We had a coupon through our daughter for them.  They would have probably initially charged $6000.00 or $7000.00, but we had a nice coupon.  She saw their sign when she was riding.  She asked some of her co-workers about Eicher's and she heard that they were very good and that they had a good product.  We got life time shingles called weather watch instead of felt.  We were really pleased with it.  They did the job.  They had quite a few guys out there.  I think they did really well.  I did get other estimates and until the coupon came up I was about to say no to them because their price was more.  The guy told me about the product and the change in what they do and what normal roofers were doing.  We had had our roof done years before and my husband wasn't too pleased with it.  He was sitting and listening for everything that he had problems with to see if they would address them.  He was really impressed with a new material called weather watch and another kind of weatherstrip.  They did a little extra from what the regular roofers would put with just the felt and then the shingles.  They replaced some of the decking and they put the new material which has the shingles lying flatter so you didn't have to worry about water getting in and causing problems.  My husband knows a lot about roofing because he did a lot of stuff like that.  He has gotten to the age where he couldn't deal with the heat up there so we wanted to get someone to do it.  I asked other people too and they said they had heard about Eicher's.  It's a family owned company.  They came out and they did a great job.  We are pleased with it.  They came in the time they said they were coming.  I would recommend them to a friend or a neighbor.  My husband sat up there with them and said that they did good work.  The company knew that he was looking.  The owner said they appreciated that and that my husband now knew what they went through in a run of the day.  My husband wanted to make sure he watched and make sure that they moved the decking like they were supposed to and not covered it up like the company did before.  The guys did a really good job.  We didn't have any problems with them.  They all were very nice.  They cleaned up around very well."

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in Savannah, GA

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
