Customers say: Quick response

"I called Mike for an estimate to have our Stucco repaired, as well as some cracking issues, and painting the front of our home. Mike came out and gave us an extremely reasonable estimate, and started the project right away. Within 5 days the project was completed and we could not be happier with the result. Mikeâ s expertise is unsurpassed. The repairs on the Stucco are invisible. Mike took my tired looking home and made it beautiful again. Mike is honest and hard working, and really cares about giving his customers amazing results. I would highly recommend Mike to anybody any day. We are so thankful to Mike for all of his hard work, and to Raul for his amazing painting skills. It is hard to find Stucco specialist in this area. Plaster Master in my opinion is your go to! Thank You Mike and Raul for all the amazing work you did on my home."

"My undermount kitchen sink fell in on itself and I was not finding any contractor that would touch and undermount sink. Juan was more than willing and capable. It was a difficult task due to I wanted to replace the sink with a single bowl going from a dual bowl. The new sink was a challenge due to it being it slightly larger and deeper. The cabinet also was challenge, due it being a little small for the new sink as well, so he had to modify it, but it when he put it back together, it was like it never happened. He was able to remove the old sink, install the new sink, and update the plumbing for the single bowl as well. I could not be happier!"

"When I reached out to Teddy Graham Interior Painters for a quote, I had already worked with the owner, James, under different circumstances several years earlier. I asked for several quotes, but the most important was for painting an interior room and removing the textured ceiling. I was mid-renovation when I called – we had opened several walls to create an open concept living/kitchen/dining room and there was no plan to finish the ceiling. It was my first renovation, and I was unaware of just how much of the ceiling would be opened. Since it’s an older home, the entire house has a textured ceiling. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to get rid of the texture and create a modern space. From the beginning, James’ crew was punctual, respectful, responsive, and professional. They took care to cover all the new cabinets and used every tool possible to limit the amount of dust from the sanding to remove the texture. I thought that removing the texture would be the difficult part, but I was wrong. Once that was done, they began the process of smoothing the ceiling. They ran into several issues due to the tape and mud job that was done by the contractor’s crew but were able to smooth things out and start painting. Unfortunately, they kept seeing different spots of the ceiling crack, right along the lines of the new drywall. No matter what they tried, new cracks appeared and cracks they fixed reformed. Unable to find a reason for the cracking or a solution, they decided it was time to take a look at what was going on in the attic. It is thanks to their diligence that I learned that the contractor had “forgotten” to reattach the joists that support the roof after they installed a new LVL beam. If you just had a W** moment, I assure you I was right there with you. Unfortunately, this has spiraled into larger issues with the contractor, but if not for James’ team, specifically Brandon, taking the time to find a reason for the ongoing cracking I would never have known the joists weren’t attached. Since there was very little work left for the contractor to do, it’s possible that the issue would never have been addressed. I can’t praise their work ethic enough, nor their compassion as I began to panic about their discovery. At some point in the future, I will be asking them to return to finish the ceiling. The room, which was painted, looks beautiful. I’m incredibly happy with their work and look forward to working with them again."

"I have used Your First Choice Home Improvement for everything. The first time I called, was after my new fridge was delivered and a hole was knocked into my hallway wall. I had another company that was supposed to come, and they never showed up, causing me to miss work for no reason. I found Your First Choice Home Improvement on Google, and never looked back. Mr. Harris is extremely personable, friendly, and talented. Every job we hired him for, he has gone above our expectations. During the COVID lockdown, our sink started falling into our kitchen floor. I called, and the kitchen was remodeled from the crawlspace up. My cabinets are now handmade, and Mr. Harris even went with us to pick k out the backsplash. Everyone who came into our home LOVES the new kitchen. We have used Your First Choice Home Improvement for everything from the kitchen remodeling, fixing leaks in the roof, painting, and finishing the basement. They have even been added to our realtor company as an approved contractor. You can't go wrong with hiring them, and your house will be even more beautiful after hiring them."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Savannah, GA

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
