"I called them to request their services and they returned my call promptly. They were able to accommodate the date I was looking for, which was very much appreciated.. The person who came to clean the carpets was very professional. He explained what he would be doing and about how long he would be there. The carpets look brand new thanks to the great work of Jacob from Lehigh Rug Service. Thank you!"

"The Home Depot - Allentown South we had gotten everything from Home Depot. They were just kind of the middle man. They have a design area, the designer that I used was the designer that I used for my main bath, my master bath and my kitchen. And she helped us pick out things. Everything was ordered off site. They didn't carry anything that we wanted. Like the cabinets and the granite they don't carry that in the store, they have suppliers that do that for them. I had a very good experience with you in Home Depot except the granite. I did go back to Home Depot and tell them the experience that I had because we spent quite a bit there at Home Depot and I said for future people you should know this, I wouldn't want them to go through what we went through with them. They are wonderful, my husband wants to take my charge away. Depending upon who you deal with there, because they are supposed to have experienced plumbers and electrical guys, they do have designers there to help you design whatever project you are doing and they are wonderful."

"The dimples in the carpet are history. It looks much better. My only criticisms are: a small chunk of carpet is missing next to a baseboard and they put a small chip in an adjoining room's ceramic tile. The latter happened because they did not place anything under their heavy "machinery"."

"The repair and cleaning was completed in a timely fashion. Since, we ordered the covers ourselves, he return on another day to do the installation. Company was very accommodating and communication via email or phone was reliable. We are very pleased with the work and will be using him again. Addition: Jim returned to install the two gutter covers as promised on Saturday, 10/17/20. We were waiting for the wasps to leave their nest before installing the last two covers. Job paid in full previously, so no charge for this."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Saylorsburg, PA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
