We sat down and planned the work to be done and established the day to begin and how long it would take.  The price was negotiated to mutual satisfaction, and he came in about the middle of estimates provided by four companies.  He assured us that the moving of heavy equipment and large rocks across our back yard could be done with little damage, and that which occurred could be easily repaired.

Josh Knutson, the owner of Dakota Landscaping, was not only extremely helpful in designing a plan for us, he went the extra mile to work closely with the company that was re-paving our driveway to ensure that all the grading around the house and toward the driveway was correct to direct water away from the house.  Dakota's work was tested within days when the Twin Cities received record rainfalls over a 3-day period.  We didn't have a drop of water in our house!  The whole Dakota team was outstanding.  The employees worked hard, were conscientious, careful, courteous and when I asked for some changes, they didn't hesitate at all.  I liked that the owner worked right along with his team and that their goal was the same as mine - that the job was done right and that we were happy with the end result. "We hired Fair and Square Remodeling to repair the floor in our kitchen. They sent someone out to review our needs and help us figure out the best route to take with the repair. They were on time, laid floor mats down to keep the dirt out, and were accommodating and respectful to our dogs (making sure Boomer and Kip weren't in the way). The floor repair they did saved us from having to redo our whole floor. All in all, what I really enjoyed about working with them was their ability to problem solve as well as help me manage when and when not to repair and how to move into a full remodel. Prior to hiring Tom I met with two other contractors regarding this project, Tom was by far the most knowledgeable about the products we wanted to use along with having the best construction plan in place to ensure the hardscapes would stand the test of time.  Tom was the only contractor who knew we had poor soil conditions in our area (he was right) and planned the correct measures to combat the issues right from the start.

Tom and his crew showed up on time, worked steady for the better part of a week and a half and created a fantastic outdoor space for our family.  Throughout the course of the project they came up with great ideas for improving the original designs along with correcting a drainage issue we didn't even realize we had.

On time, on budget, fun guys to have around!
