He also gave us advice on ongoing care of the floors, which was helpful. His crew was friendly and worked hard to help us meet our deadline. They also did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Bonus points for: 1) exceeding expectation of a second set of stairs and 2) cutting my wife (a teacher) some small carpet pieces for use in her classroom. Estimate: John did an in person estimate where he measured the space, showed large professional samples in the space, and even gave us color/texture recommendations based on space use and wall color. Since he was the best provider we interacted with, we selected him and gave deposit to order the carpet. Install day: John and Ryan were professional and courteous for the 6-hour install. Carpet looks amazing and the workspace was cleaner than when they started."

"I did not like the job timing. The workers showed up on a Friday at 6:00 P.M. to start the job of removing the old floor. The returned Saturday morning to complete the installation of the new floor. Although it was an excellent job done with very good materials I did not appreciate it taking two days instead of the one day promised by the salesman. Also you have to pay for the warranty, in reality Empire does not warranty anything. The workers did do a professional job in every respect Empire should limit their work load so they don't arrive so late to start a job."
