Also the technician was taking my bait stations I had previously put down and putting them into her box. Complete THEFT!!! No exclusions done. Please do not hire this company. "Berry Mechanical installed a $10K HVAC system a little over 4 years ago. They are one of only 3 American Standard dealers listed in my area on the American Standard site. All are roughly the same distance -Berry is actually second closest. They are now telling me they will no longer service it because it is too far away. I can understand if they were no longer wiling to do service calls on systems they did not install because of distance but they were more than happy to take the money for the large installation and it was fairly recent. I was paying them every year for semi-annual service and now I have to scramble to find an American standard dealer who actually will travel the same or more distance and will provide service for a system they did not install and may or may no be familiar with. Very disappointing, I can not recommend buying a system from a company that will not service what they install, especially when they are no further away than the only other 2 dealers."

"Had an excellent experience hiring Steve and his crew to install an "emergency" chimney liner for our new oil boiler. Did not even know one was needed until middle of boiler install. Oops! Timing was Halloween in NH, so already getting very cold and most other chimney companies I called were booked for months. Steve stopped by the very evening of that first phone call and prepared an estimate. After patiently emailing back and forth with detailed explanations, it became obvious that he was going to "do it right", unlike my other low-ball estimate that was going to install a bare-bones liner similar to the previous one that had failed, and most likely would not have lasted long (not to mention potential condensation issues.) And BONUS - he rearranged his schedule to come that very SUNDAY (now early Nov) and get it done, so that we could stop shivering! AND he even honored his Angies discount. Liner install went AOK, furnace was online the very next day after my plumber came back to finalize set-up and we've been warm ever since. Took only 5 days from our initial phone call and plumber was impressed with their work on the liner. Kudos to Fireside Sweeps. Look no further. I can highly recommend. Thanks Steve & Lisa!!"

"I hired Action Roofing to repair our asphalt shingled roof which was damaged in a windstorm. While Stephen was here he also repaired the flashing around our chimney and fixed a leaking skylight. It is hard to find a roofing company you can trust that is not going to charge you an arm and a leg. Stephen did an excellent job! The work was all done in less than a day. His pricing was very fair and affordable. And the work professionally done. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for honest, quality work, done by a professional. I was so impressed, I hired him for some additional work."

"My wife and I met with several companies to obtain quotes for a vinyl siding job on our home. The clapboards had areas that had rotted, and the curb appeal of our home was not up to the standards of our neighborhood. After meeting with 3 or 4 different companies, we were completely unnerved and ready to throw in the towel on this Home Improvement Job. Each company that came out to provide us with a quote, would start with a price that was far above the actual costs of siding a home. We would say no thank you and miraculously, they would be able to lower the price by thousands of dollars, but only if we would sign a contract right then and there. In doing this song and dance, these companies wasted far too much of our valuable family time and put undue pressure on us to decide at that very moment. As anyone who has ever done this type of job knows, it is a large investment that you are making, and the decision should not be rushed or made prior to weighing the pros and cons. We were at our wit’s end and seriously considered putting off the job until the Spring. My wife came home one day and told me about a local home improvement company right in our backyard. She had seen an article that celebrated Women in Construction. The article highlighted that this company was woman-owned which my wife loved since she is in trade school to obtain her HIC in carpentry. She had looked at their website and asked me to make an appointment for one last quote and if this one went as all the others had, we would not think about it again till next year. With low expectations, my wife and I met with a salesman from Coastal Windows & Exteriors. He was polite and professional and extremely knowledgeable. He had the type of personality where it feels like you have known this person for years despite having just met them. He took pictures and measurements of our home, showed us samples of all the materials, and explained everything we asked thoroughly. He showed us a rendering of what our home would look like with the colors/materials we had chosen. He was able to do this by uploading the pictures he had taken of our home to an app on his iPad. We thought that was outstanding. Why every home improvement company does not do this is beyond me! He was able to do all this without wasting hours of our family time and he was not at all pushy. My wife and I both find pushy sales tactics to be a turn-off. He provided us with the quote and told us that the quote was good for a year. He suggested that we take our time and call him if we had any questions that had not been answered or if we thought of something else that had not been covered. The quote was substantially cheaper than the competition’s and we did not have to put a single penny down. The full price of the job was to be paid after its completion and only if we were satisfied with the completed job. I can tell you, having met with a myriad of home improvement companies over the last 3 years, no other company does this! We felt very secure in our decision to use Coastal Exteriors for our job. When the installation began, we were impressed with the work ethic of this crew. They arrived promptly at 8 am daily and were still there working when I would get home from my office in the evenings, leaving most nights at about 6 pm. The crew was friendly, tidy, and professional. One of the owners even walked the property with me, on more than one occasion, as we discussed the best scenarios to deal with certain aspects of the job. We felt entirely comfortable throughout the whole process. We had a horrible experience in the past, (with a certain home improvement company that will remain nameless), so this was very important to us. The crew completed the job in less than the allotted timeline and the owner came and walked the property with me again to make sure that we were entirely satisfied with the job. We will recommend this company to everyone we can in the future. From the friendly and knowledgeable sales staff to the talented and driven installation crew and everyone in between, Coastal Windows & Exteriors is a Top-Notch Home Improvement Company. "One word: Don't. They replaced the top 6' of our chimney about 7 years ago as well as parging and sealing all of our chimneys and the new chimney is literally falling apart in chunks, the joints are seeping water, and the parging is flaking off. Besides that, while these two jokers were here (and we weren't) our neighbor told us that they were arguing and throwing chunks of concrete at each other. We also found that rather than haul the old chimney pieces away they hid them in the brush beside our lawn. Also, forget about a warrantee. That is B.S."
