"I was very impressed with the installer who was sent. He mounted the dish without drilling through my new roof, which might have voided my roof warranty, Also, he mounted the dish in a location where it is easy for me to brush the snow off it in winter. I appreciate his knowledge and thoughtfulness. Also, they didn't charge me to re-install the dish."

"We contracted with Green Concepts LLC for a panel replacement and upgrade. They also included a installation of a generator plug as a Winter special at no extra cost. Their work bid was very competitive, complete and honest. There was no attempt to sell something extra, nor were there any hidden / extra charges as was the case with some of the other bids. Monica did the scheduling and handled all the billing, permits and inspection scheduling. This was done in a professional, complete and timely manner. Monica was very easy to deal with via e-mail or phone. The work was scheduled within a reasonable and accommodating time. Work was completed as scheduled and passed inspection with a recommendation of “very well done”. Derek was very professional, through and complete. He took the time to answer questions, make recommendation and give advice. Watching Derek work it was obvious he was not only a Master Electrician but a Master Craftsman as well. His first priority was customer satisfaction and pride in his work rather than high turnover and profit. This is a local firm committed to the improvement of the community and the “Green” concept. I would highly recommend this firm and will use them in the future."

"Tony was quick to respond and jumped-in and got the work done quickly. He pulled the permit, finished the work, and met with the inspector (passed inspection), all within a few days. He was also able to finish up some other electrical work I needed to get done while waiting for the inspector. His pricing is reasonable and I am really happy with the work completed. Would hire again."

FAQs for satellite dish system service projects in Seattle, WA

Homeowners bear the responsibility for satellite dish removal. When you cancel your TV service, most providers collect their interior equipment, like receivers, but leave the exterior dish mounted on your property. If you're renting, review your lease agreement carefully, as some landlords prohibit dish installation entirely or require removal before moving out. The physical dish remains the homeowner's responsibility unless specific arrangements are made with the service provider.

Most satellite dish removals don't require an electrician since the systems operate on low-voltage connections that don't present significant electrical hazards. Handymen, roofers, or satellite installation technicians can handle standard removals. However, an electrician might be appropriate if your system involves complex wiring integrated with your home's electrical system or if internal wiring repairs are needed. Specialized satellite technicians or general contractors are often sufficient for standard exterior dish removal.

Professional satellite dish removal requires one to two hours for standard installations. This timeframe includes disconnecting cables, removing mounting hardware, patching holes, and cleaning the work area. More complex scenarios—like dishes on steep roofs, multiple installation points, or extensive wiring—may extend this timeline. DIY removal takes longer, particularly for inexperienced homeowners who might spend several hours ensuring safe work practices and proper disposal.

Some satellite service providers will remove their equipment at no charge when you cancel service, though this practice varies by company. Contact your provider directly when canceling to inquire about removal options. Another potential avenue for free removal is when switching to a new provider—the incoming company might include old equipment removal as part of their installation package. Always clarify what's included in any "free" removal offer, particularly regarding patching and repair work that might be necessary after the dish is gone.
