The typical exterior repaint includes a pressure washing to remove any loose paint and clean any dirt and mildew that has settled on the surfaces. Window and joint seams are checked for caulking failure and then repaired. Windows, doors, decking, and vegetation are masked or covered. In most cases the large body of the house will be finished with an airless sprayer and, depending on the type of siding and texture, followed with a roller to even the coat and fill the crevasses. I commonly recommend applying two coats for best and longest lasting results. The detail trim finishes are then applied with brush and roller. The quality of finish products, be they paints or stains, are at the discretion of the home owner. We typically use Sherwin-Williams or Behr products, but can accommodate a special request.
