"Mr Rooter called almost immediately and was at my home in less than 1 hour. Mr Rooter's technician Chris identified, cleared, and verified the blockage very quickly. After clearing the blockage, Chris set up a followup visit for the following week to pump out our septic tank and install a clean out fitting. We were very satisfied with all of the work."

"This was a night call to Benjamin Franklin.   Nathan arrived promptly and fixed the problem quickly and professionally.  This work was under our toilet warranty.  We asked him to come back the next day to check on something and again, his response was first class.  Very polite, very knowledgeable.   Everything was cleaned up afterwards.  We have always used Ben Franklin for our plumbing needs and have never been dissatisfied.  Would always recommend them to others and trust them to get the job done well. <br />"
Septic Repairs
Holy cow!! We found it!
Almost looks like we didn't just install 400' of 4'' Storm Drainage to save the septic system from near total failure.

Sometimes excessive storm water can wreak havoc on a septic system and cause the system to break down prematurely.
The septic system was drowning, we suggested diverting the storm water to protect the septic tank & field lines. Problem Solved.

"Huge thanks to Tuck & Howell Plumbing, Heating & Air for taking such great care of us! JD came out to inspect and clean our AC, and uncovered a clogged drain line. Now it’s running like a dream—just in time for the summer heat. He was professional, knowledgeable, and super friendly. From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. It’s clear this company truly cares about their customers. Highly recommend!"

"Provident Plumbing was recommended to me by a friend. A plumber was out within one day of my call. He replaced the old heater and hauled it away at a good price. No complaints about the service, and everything has run smoothly since. My husband and I are planning a kitchen remodel in the next six months, and we plan on using this company again."

"Handy Co. did such a great job my Wife moved out of the Master Bathroom and into the Guest Bathroom we had remodeled. The install consisted of gutting the bathroom, installing new tub/shower, new fixtures, new vanity, plumbing, marble 4x12 floors in a Chevron pattern, crown/base molding, and a frameless shower door. I had received several quotes on the bathroom and Mike was the best option (He also wasn't one of those painful sales presentations). He allowed us to purchase our own parts (if you have a wife you understand how important this is). Handy Co. definitely beat out all the other full bathroom remodel companies in the area especially since they are a locally owned small business. Highly Recommend and will use his skills again. Thanks Mike!"

"Installation of a new garbage disposal, one leaky toilet, and a dripping faucet. Josh is great. He called back immediately, showed up promptly, was more than reasonably with pricing. I can't imagine using a different plumber."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Seneca, SC

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
