"Greg did an amazing job on removing the old patio, hauling the debris away, prepping for the new patio, pouring and leveling the concrete. Afterwards, he cleaned the area where he had work. Great work, good price."

"We highly recommend Jake, he really is a Jake of all trades. We wanted to have our concrete patio completely redone (fixed up and extended) and we didn’t even plan to have it stamped. Jake mentioned what concrete stamping was and showed us various photos. We were so surprised how affordable it was and we get compliments from everyone who visits. All of our neighbors are jealous and planning to re-do their patios now, too. We were pleased with the estimates, timeline, communication, and overall product. Thanks, Jake! We appreciate you."

"I HIGHLY recommend Caliber Construction! Leonard (owner) is very fair and definitely knows what he is talking about. I was very confident in the work that was done. He was able to explain exactly what needed done and why, I never felt he was just trying to "sell" me on extras. His crew was amazing, they found several odds and ends things that were previously done incorrectly. They took the initiative to fix them and make sure they were done correctly. I feel Leonard as well as his employees took great pride in their work. We had a previous issue with the way the water was running off our roof, the initial fix they tried did not work. Leonard was on top of everything and did a much more in depth repair which fixed the issue with no extra charge. Any time I had a question or a concern, it was addressed the same day. The office staff I spoke with on the phone frequently, were always friendly and professional. The on site crew always made sure to leave the job site clean at the end of the day. They were always friendly and professional. Before hiring Caliber Construction we had received several other estimates from other companies. Leonard's knowledge and know how is definitely what made us choose Caliber Construction. I cannot speak highly enough of Caliber Construction. We will definitely be using them in the future for additional projects."

"lThey showed up on time! Juan would tell me the night before what time I could expect him the following morning and they were there within minutes of the time agreed upon. All 3 workers arrived in 1 vehicle. I like this, no one leaves in the middle of the day putting the job completion time back and reducing the amount of vehicles on the street in front of your house. They took an hour lunch all at the same time and all coming back at the same time. I got a full 8 hours of work out of them each day. Juan never asked for money during the job and when he did he bought the french doors with the money that he asked for. He sent a text that morning he bought the doors telling me he would be late arriving around 8am. 810 guess who shows up?! This is the kind of labor I am used to. PUNCTUAL. The dust from the bedroom remodel was minimal he put plastic to cover the area he was working in and placed drop cloths under the doors to limit the dust in the rooms. When doing the second floor they set up a ladder and everything went out thru the window down the ladder no mess in my house! I would without a doubt use them again and recommend Buendia Remodeling to others.
We got estimates from others here in Ft Wayne for this work, Juan's estimate was the lowest. When getting estimates I asked how the work would be done one contractor said he would throw everything out the window onto my back deck. Really???  and it would take 2 weeks just to do the master bedroom. He would have to come in and out of the house thru the front door if he did this. Another told me he would not be here daily and to expect him going off to other jobs.
In conclusion Juan was the best choice, for price, professionalism, punctuality and time.

FAQs for concrete foundation installation projects in Servia, IN

A concrete footer is a relatively shallow column of concrete that sits below your foundation walls. Footers spread wider than the foundation, so they can support a higher amount of weight in critical spots, such as below walls. The exact dimensions of footers depend on the home, so larger structures need a larger footing.

To calculate footing size, you need to know the minimum width and depth for houses in your region. Multiplying the width by the linear footprint of the structure will give you the size in linear feet.

To convert linear feet into square feet, you can divide the width by 12. For example, an 18-inch footer is 1.5 square feet per linear foot. Multiply this number by the total in linear feet to get the answer in square feet.

Installing a pier and beam foundation costs $5 per square foot, or $8,000 to $15,000. This style is standard in homes built before the 1960s or those in flood-prone areas.

Concrete weight support ranges from 1,500 to 6,500 pounds per square inch, and footings need at least 3,500 to 4,500 pounds per square inch. Remember that your soil type, climate, and materials used will significantly affect how much weight your footings can hold, especially in certain areas.

It costs between $1,600 and $3,200 to pour a 20-by-20-foot concrete slab. These estimates are based on an average cost to pour a concrete slab of $4 to $8 per square foot. Be sure to discuss the specifics with a pro—they’ll give you an estimate of how much you can expect.

The cost to raise a house is between $3,200 and $10,000. This range refers to a form of repair that involves lifting the entire house to potentially remove the old foundation and build a new one or add to an existing one.
