"I'm currently in the process of getting my house ready to sell. My driveway was in less than ideal condition, and I wasn't looking to spend a minor fortune on having a new one repaved. When Earnie came over for the estimate he stated that I would need to build a small retaining wall before they could perform the work, otherwise the new asphalt would just slide off into my yard like it had before. I had other estimates (prior to joining Angie's List and finding Conner Asphalt), and none of them told me this would be a problem. For me this is important because it demonstrates they value their work and want it to last, as opposed to their competitors that appear indifferent with regard to their quality...at least for those that I contacted. "Viorel was very professional through out the quoting process. He made sure to work around our schedule and was always on time. During the work day my wife, newborn son, and I left for the day to avoid the excess commotion. Upon finding rotten boards he immediately called to let me know the situation and that he was going to do it right, but it may come out more than expected. I really appreciated his promptness in communicating with me and making sure the job was done correctly as replacing a roof is not something to cut corners on. As soon as they were done he called to let me know they were finished. Upon arrival I was very surprised on how well his team cleaned up and left my property exactly the way it was. If I need a roof again in the future (hopefully not for quite some time) I will definitely be contacting Viorel and his crew."

"I had a retaining wall built in Sept of 2012, In less than a year the wall was falling down. Blake's crew tore down that retaining wall, loaded the old concrete blocks (weighted about 20 lbs.) and move them. They cleaned everything up, put in the correct base, drainage gravel, landscaping cloth behind the wall. they put in another French drain and made They install the correct concert blocks (weighted 97 lbs.) They put in the Wall was level, straight and sure it would drain. The crew put in the correct back fill soil. <br /> When the wall was complete and the crew leader was satisfied  with their work, myself and my wife was well please with the work. They cleaned up all of the debris and hauled it away. <br /> They were here when Blake said the would be and did an 'OUTSTANGING" job.  I would use Knoxville Hardscape any time I had something like this to be done. I would highly recommend him to anybody. <br /> His crew was great. The answered all our questions and if my wife was not satisfied with something, they corrected it with any problems. I have never had anyone do better work that these men. <br />"

"I got one of their flyers in my mailbox that advertised seal coating for $400 or so.  I had been needing to not only get the seal coating done, but needed some repairs where a big tree had uprooted and damaged a small area of the driveway. <br /> For some reason the first time I called was not a good experience.  I felt as though the lady on the phone was trying to get me off the phone, and seemed to not want to answer any of my questions.  When Richard called me back he let me know that he would need to view the damage before I could get an estimate, and that the $400 flyer was for seal coating only (fair enough). <br /> He was prompt in getting me an actual estimate, but I was pretty surprised that the cost would now be over $1200.  When I asked why it would be so much more, I was told that it was $600 for 2 seal coats, and than $600+ to bring the asphalt truck out regardless of the size of the repair.  I figured that repairing the driveway and resealing for that price was better than having to eventually recover the whole driveway with asphalt.  I did like that they guaranteed the work for 2 years also. <br /> Before I approved the quote, I made sure to let them know I would like to have the work done while I was out of town.  I was told this would be no problem which was nice.  The only bad thing is that one day I came home and some of their crew was repairing the driveway.  Not the worst thing ever, but #1 it was not during the time we had scheduled and #2 I was told they went ahead and did it early because they could use the truck on another repair job near/in my neighborhood.  #2 bothered me a bit because I felt if you are splitting up the jobs on bringing the truck out, then surely the price of bringing the truck out would be lessened.  This was not the case (and perhaps this is normal), but in fairness I did not complain about it b/c I had already agreed on an estimate.  In addition to that, there seemed to be a bit of confusion about when the job was supposed to be done, because they called me several times saying it was going to be done sooner, but I told them I wanted it done when we scheduled it originally.  They did end up doing the sealing while I was out of town so it worked out fine. <br /> As far as the work goes, I felt they did a pretty good job.  The work was fairly clean and my old driveway looks revived.  I felt they did a really good job patching up any big cracks, and cleaning up any vegetation on the edges.  The fact that it is guaranteed for 2 years helps too, so I can rest easy knowing if any problems occur I can get them to come out and take care of it.  The part they repaired was done well in my opinion also. <br /> Overall not the best experience but not the worst either, and I am happy with the work they did.  First time I have hired anyone for asphalt work, so although I would use them again, I would for sure get additional quotes from other companies next time I need that sort of work done. <br />"
