"AJ was nothing short of exceptional. His work is excellent, the drywall that he repaired looks perfect. No indication there was ever a crack. The paint work is excellent, while he did not paint every ceiling and wall you cannot tell where he began or ended. It all looks perfect. Now letâ s talk about communication. AJ, provided a very clear and descriptive quote, we aligned on a price and timing. He texted every day and hour before arrival, and again 15 minutes before he arrived. He showed up every day until the job was complete and finished a day early. Despite three change orders. The bottom line is I would strongly recommend AJ."

"This is the second time that I have used this company to pressure wash my patio. They were prompt and efficient! Renato was very easy to work with, and he made sure that he thoroughly cleaned all of my areas of concern. My patio and brick work look sparkling clean! I highly recommend this company!"

"Brothers & Brushes did a great job. The first visit with them was an easy process going over the room we wanted to get painted. Shawn and I walked the room pointing out imperfections that needed to fixed, he took pictures of the room and the things I requested to be fixed, a quote was emailed within a few days and they’re online contract was easy to understand, read and sign. When Brothers & Brushes was here while painting the room, they were asking if he had any concerns about there work, when they put the new wall paint on the wall, they asked if we liked it before painting the whole room. Their attention to detail was great."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Sharon, CT

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
