We are committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. We uphold a standard of integrity bound by fairness, honesty, and personal responsibility. Our distinction is the quality of service we bring to our customers. Accurate knowledge of our trade combined with ability is what makes us true professionals. Above all, we are watchful of our customers' interests, and make their concerns the basis of our business.
"I hired Quinn to replace the frame and door on an exterior garage door. He gave me an estimate based on 10 hours of labor. When he finished the job, I asked if I would get a refund since he came in under 10 hours. He said yes and explained that he should have explained that estimates are basically final no matter how long the job takes, but would still honor the refund since his estimate did not explicitly state that policy. It has been over a month and still have not received my refund. He also has stopped answering any of my calls or texts. On top of that, after maybe 10 times of opening the deadbolt lock, it already is completely broken so clearly he uses inferior hardware or installed it incorrectly. Either way, I would never even think about recommending this hack to do any work. He was paid a half price deposit before doing the work and I paid him the remainder as soon as he ?completed the job,? so he can?t even act like he didn?t get paid a fair price."

"The performance of these 2 knuckleheads (George and older guy who spoke no English) was nothing but a disappointment. 1)They arrived late and brought limited amount of tools. No miter saw, no work table or work horses, no shop vacuum, no stepladder, no nail gun/brad nail gun. And above all, no protection for the floor inside the house. Now I have indentations on the entrance hallway floor from dropped tools. 2)Workmanship: screwheads/nails sticking out of wood and PVC paneling/casing and trim. Panels and casing fitted poorly (large gaps). Silicon filled in poorly or excessively. And since they ran out of the white silicon caulking they instead used clear. Silicon caulking cannot be painted over. It costs $5 per tube for the right type of paintable caulking. Did they go and buy some more. No, because that would mean extending the job even longer. 3)I deducted $15 dollars from the contract. Where was Zachery Trakas to do final inspection of the work performed? NO more Helping Hands."

For most standard interior doors, professional installation takes approximately three hours from start to finish. The timeframe may extend if complications arise, such as the need for wall repairs or custom fitting. More complex installations like pocket doors or double French doors require additional time. If you're tackling the project yourself, expect the process to take longer, especially if you're new to door installation.
Most straightforward door frame replacements don't require building permits since they're considered minor improvements that don't affect structural elements. However, if your project involves widening the door opening, creating a new doorway, or modifying load-bearing walls, you'll likely need to obtain a permit from your local building department. Historical districts and some homeowners associations may have additional requirements or restrictions.
For a DIY interior door installation, you'll need basic tools including a tape measure, level, power drill with various bits, screwdriver set, hammer, utility knife, and shims. You might also need a saw for trimming the door if necessary, sandpaper for smoothing edges, and a chisel for creating hinge mortises. Having a helper makes the job considerably easier, especially when positioning and holding the door during installation.
When measuring for a replacement door, determine whether you need just the door slab or a pre-hung unit that includes the frame. For a slab door, measure the width, height, and thickness of your existing door. For a pre-hung door, measure the width and height of the rough opening (from stud to stud and floor to header). Also note the swing direction—whether the door opens to the left or right when facing it from the outside of the room.
