"I originally hired Carpet Police to clean the carpets in my house. They were the first to respond when I got on Angie's List. Somehow, Carpet Police got usurped by another company called Arizona Island. Arizona Island did a terrible job and I called Carpet Police, again, to please come and repair the bad carpet cleaning that was done. Carpet Police did as good a job as I could possible expect to fix what went wrong. Alfonso was efficient, friendly, wore his mask when he was inside and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again."

"They went out of their way to pick the carpet up, have it cleaned and returned within a week, considerably quicker than other estimates. The cleaning was excellent, and at a price that beat other estimates."

"

They were suppose to be at my home at 930AM.  However, I received a call advising me they were running late due to a problem with their earlier appointment.  They arrived around 1030AM which was the promised time.  After discussing what I wanted done they immediately went to work. As I said it was a very small space but they were done within an hour and a half.  At that time they put a very large fan in each room which seemed to add to the drying process.  About 3 hours later the carpet was dry.  I would highly recommend this company.  They are professional and highly trained.

"I contacted Walk On Me Flooring through Angie's List messaging.  Mike Ballard called me back within an hour and we set up a time for him to come to the property where I needed porcelain tile and carpeting installed.  He was very professional and extremely knowledgeable and helpful.  He explained the costs associated with the job and we scheduled a time for this work to be done.  Mike constantly kept in contact with me and even got us scheduled a week earlier.  The tile work that was provided by Leo was absolutely perfect.  Leo was very helpful and very personable.  The tile that he installed was done beautifully.  I couldn't have asked for a better outcome or experience.  The carpeting also was installed in the bedrooms and it was also very well done.  They took all the trash, old pads, and they cleaned up everything before leaving.  Best experience I have ever had with hiring flooring work!  I absolutely recommend this business."

"Richard came out to measure the floor and to give us an estimate to install a new floor.  However, when he got there and looked at the existing damage, he assured us that his people could repair the problem for only the cost of a service call.  I was very impressed with Richard's honesty!  I doubt that many business owners would have been honest enough to bring up the option of repairing the existing floor, especially since it was obvious that I was fully expecting to replace it.  He basically gave up the revenue from a full floor replacement (likely to be about $8000) for the fee of a service call.  (The repairman came out today, and did an excellent job of repairing the floor.)  I was very impressed and appreciative, and Bilbie's will definitely be first in line when I have any flooring work to be done in the future."

"The installer, Juan, did a nice job. He made sure the floor was properly prepared. He laid the new carpet and took care to be sure the job was done correctly. He secured the railing and put new protective strips on the steps. We will have no problems referring new customers to Wagon Wheel Flooring."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Show Low, AZ

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
