"The electrician was parked in our driveway at 6:30 am! He was knocking on our door at 6:45. When I answered the door and told him it was only 6:45, he said that his truck said 7:00 and he doesn't go by the customer's time! I think 6:45 is too early for any service man to be knocking on the door. He was not able to fix or repair the door bell but he was able to identify any issues with electrical outlets. He made some negative comments about people from "third world" countries doing electrical work that resulted in him coming out and doing things right. Inappropriate comment."

"It went extremely well. The technician from Illinois Garage Repair was very professional and did an excellent job in replacing the garage door opener. He even went "beyond the call of duty" by programming all of my remote controls."

"The repair went very well and was done in a timely way. I am very happy with the results and would considering hiring GPC Renovations for future home improvement projects.

"Brandon did a great job thoroughly explaining what the issue was. After he explained everything from the issue, to how he would fix it, I believed he was the right guy for the job. He got the job completed in a very good timeframe, showed me pictures of the process, and assured me it was all good to go. I haven't had a problem with it since, and it looks great compared to what the last guy did! I would highly recommend trusting Bear Hands Construction with your home repair needs!"

"They did an awesome job!! Deck is better built than old deck and when floor was repaired, glass door will slide again. This is the second time I used DC Enterprises and will use again for future needs. They are knowledgeable and very personable."

"The garage door opener needed a part that took almost a month to arrive. Fridge and dishwasher also got few weeks before they were actually repaired."

"I?m writing to highly recommend Jim Rawlins and JBR Enterprises for your home remodel/siding replacement/outdoor redesign. We utilized Jim?s services in 2013 to replace the siding on our home, restructure the front of the home including stone work, outside painting, and interior trim work and closet refinishing. During this time we found him to be frank, honest and a pleasure to work with and the work he did was of very high quality.
As a family who underwent a very difficult and costly home remodel in 2008 we were somewhat hesitant to take on any type of home renovation/remodel project again. The last time we became well acquainted with continuous change orders driving up the cost and quickly realized we should have more systematically evaluated perspective contractors before using them in our home. This time we did just that. We spent a great deal of time interviewing and discussing our goals and budget with many contractors. From the very beginning, Jim stood out from the rest. He was responsive, articulate, enthusiastic and clearly committed to making this a good experience for us. This pattern of behavior continued throughout our relationship.
Jim listened to what we were saying and while that sounds like an obvious thing to do?we were shocked by how often we would have to repeat things over and over when talking to others. The important part was that although he was listening, he was also thinking and challenging himself to make the final product even better than we could imagine. With this in mind, he made several recommendations throughout the project which in the end, truly improved the final product. Each time anything unexpected came up-as it always does-(a rotten board here or there) he let us know immediately and was very reasonable in the additional costs. As we proceeded in the work we ended up adding a few things here and there (painting the deck, adding a closet and crown molding?) and each additional item continued to be reasonable in price.
While some contractors try to take on projects without the necessary skill-set, Jim has a team of workers who each possess specific skills. Jim was present on the worksite daily where he seamlessly had his team members rotating through our job providing their skills with optimum timing. We knew we wanted some stonework completed for the columns on the front of our home. As we looked and learned about stonework we soon realized that skill is very important to the final result. This is another place with Jim excels. He sees the importance of having someone with decades of experience working with stone and an artistic touch. This again made the final result even better than we could have imagined.
Our past experience also showed us that some contractors are so impatient to move on to their next job that they don?t complete the job or do a good job with clean up. Our home remained reasonably clean and the site was free from safety hazards throughout the project (which was very important to us with a 1 year old and a 4 year old). His workers took off their shoes when they entered the inside of the house and were generally careful about keeping things clean. Due to the weather, our job did take longer than expected but even with this delay, Jim made sure that we were totally satisfied with all the work completed before he and his team departed. With a "let?s get it done" attitude he made this final touch-up a pleasant process.
Jim Rawlins and his crew were efficient, honest and exceeded our expectations and with this, we would recommend him highly for your home remodel/renovation.
