"Tristate water works has maintained our sprinkler system for the past 8 years and they deliver great service every time. Recently they had to repair our system after it was damaged during a patio installation. Will continue to use Tristate water works!"

"My yard is awful. They did do a good job. Mine is the only one that is not full of clover on the block. I think the pricing is high since I have a pretty small yard. I went ahead and signed up for there lawn care program where they come out 6 times a year and put down fertilizer and weeding. I came home and saw an invoice but they only did the front yard. I called them and they came back out and said that I would receive an email the day beforehand so I could leave the back gate open. A few months later they came and again did not do the backyard and did not receive an email. I called back and they assured me it has been corrected so I will see. But I will cancel the next time if I do not get notice beforehand."

"<p>I would say they are okay. They come regularly, probably every couple of weeks. I have had them for years and my grass looks pretty good. Their price is probably average. Their quality is good. We are on a program. You don't know when they are coming. You don't have to be home to have them drop dry fertilizer. They don't tell you when they are coming. Their professionalism is good. I am debating on using them again in the future. They wanted to aerate my yard and overseed for the fall. My front yard looks good and my back yard is about 80-percent concrete. So I have a small patch, 50 x 20 (feet) and another one 50 x 5 feet. That is all the grass I have in that yard. The grass does not grow well in the back yard so I asked them if they would do just the back yard -- just aerate and reseeding it? Well, it was something like $150. But they said for $170 they could do the whole thing and all the grass is in the front. It did not make sense to me. </p>"

"Did an amazing job, the property looks so much better than the landscaper our builder used. Curt was great to work with and is coming back to do a few more things for us in the next few weeks."

"First let me start with the positives then I will go on. <br /> Was in a rush last winter to find a service before the spring so I called a few companies.  Wimberg was the most professional and did get back to me.  Gave me estimate for services and I said OK at the time I thought it was a little pricey but we do have a big hill and I was going to give them a shot to earn my yearly business.  Once service started was very happy with the weekly cuttings. They were very reliable on cutting and did a great job and fast cleanup.  I chose to do organic fertilize because we have dogs and wanted the grass stronger and healthier.  I would not waste my money on that again.  Do not know if it was the company or just organic is not as good.  <br /> They did cut our invisible fence line twice but came out and fixed it for no charge and were fast.  That was great. <br /> As I noted above I had my thoughts that I was being charged a lot.  I was not able to maintain my landscaping very well this past summer and had a couple companies come out to quote me on getting the beds back in shape as we were getting married in the fall.  I had 3 estimates.  While doing this I price compared grass cutting prices.  Wimberg was miles above other quotes.  <br /> As I eluded to above we have 3 dogs.  They can put a beating on the grass as one is 150lbs and the other 60 the toy poodle doesn't really worry me haha. I had Mike early in the spring come out and give me a quote on repair.  He gave me the price and I signed the contract.  Well they didn't come out till the very end of season.  To late for sod in my opinion.  It did not really have time to grow in before weather got bad.  To top it off they didn't do the job as estimated.  So I had to call them to come back out to point out places they missed. Whoever told the guys what to do was not thorough and they winged it. Well I got nabbed for a bill over double what was in the contract because they stated they did a little extra work.  It was a small patch that they asked me if I wanted fixed but to charge me more then what the whole job was originally quoted and at a fraction of the size pushed me to not hire them back.  <br /> The workers themselves were great. The business is pricey compared to others.  Organic fertilizer did nothing and just sat on top of the grass.  The guy who did my estimates was not good to work with.  <br /> <br />"

"Our Land Organics took our fuzzy ideas and drew up a beautiful, feasible, environmentally conscious rain garden design for our yard. The plan was clearly designed and easy to follow- full of plants that could handle a tricky site. I love our garden so much that I'm writing a review 2 years after installing it- it brings us a lot of joy. Highly recommend this company!"

"Craig, the owner was professional and answered all of our questions thoroughly prior to signing a contract - and the company had excellent references within the area. There were several packages to choose from to meet our specific needs. The system is easy to use and Craig is very responsive if we have any questions. His team was on time and took very care of our lawn. The only downside was that you may have to book 3-6 weeks out in the summer as they are very busy (because they are so good)."

"Professional Service: Staff and managers are always courteous. Consistently return phone calls promptly, provide accurate estimates. System is tailored to meet our needs. Take the time to educate us so we feel well informed with a sufficient understanding of the process and the equipment. No overselling, pressure, or hidden expenses. Responsive: Any issue or question is managed promptly and to completion. Proactive: THEY CALL US in advance to inform us when it is time to turn off/on the system (based on the season –on in spring/summer, off in fall winter). They schedule well in advance and arrive promptly. Attend to maintenance issues to keep the system running well. Effective: The system is excellent for maintaining our lawn without wasting excess amounts of water. The sprinkler heads retract to ground level so they do not get hit by the lawn mower. Worth it: Business practice is more than fair. Irrigation is expensive, but Lawn Management staff have helped us numerous times. They tell us in advance if they are going to charge us for a housecall or inspection (usually they do not charge us). They have always been fair and I feel like I get full value not just for the equipment, but for the exceptional service. We haven’t had any issues with the irrigation system. Again, staff have always taken the time to courteously address any issues that we thought we were having; most of the time, our issues are related to something else like the cable line, electric line, etc. Please note I was not paid or compensated in any way for this review. I am just very grateful to be working with a company that has such a wonderful business practice."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Alexandria, KY

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
