"Lazaro and his crew members, Fidel, William, and Issac, transformed our back yard from being a dirty and unpleasant hellscape where my wife and I never spent any time to being a beautiful and clean space where we can host parties, cookouts, and relax. The crew was extremely professional, organized, thoughtful, experienced, efficient, and communicative throughout the course of the project. I was quite impressed with their design and planning skills, extensive experience, and passion for their work. My wife and I own a small row house with a small back yard, which presented unique challenges to the crew: no back yard access except through neighbors’ properties. The crew handled this challenge well by being communicative and friendly with my neighbors and always cleaning up the space at the end of each working day. They always ensured that the fencing and hardscaping looked good from both sides of the property line, so that my neighbors were also happy! Another challenge was that an adjacent property is about 3 feet above grade and not pleasant to look at from our yard. Lazaro’s planning and vision for a beige brick half-wall, topped with wooden lattice flower boxes was a great finishing touch that provided a beautiful transition between the red brick paver patio and the elevated wooden fence to block the view of the adjacent property. The crew carefully planned their work from the beginning, so that there were no surprises at the end as the finishing touches were put on and the fence was erected. My wife and I are also confident that the money we spent on this work will be a great investment—not only for enjoying our new home, but also in the resale value some day in the future. "Only service done well was flower bed edging...I had to show the worker how to plant a shrub and I had to provide the supplemental soil, luckily, before he got the shrub in the ground. Unfortunately, crew does not clean up well and leaves unused soil. As far at the tree removal, that went ok until I noticed they were going to leave the stump, after I explicitly asked that it be removed, too. Job was then completed, but crew did not remove wood chips and pieces of stump, which I had to do before lawn could be cut. Language was a big problem and one could only be understood by the boss - very irritating. Very professional at the outset, but the quality of the work precludes any followup."

"This summer's weather proved challenging to get our back yard re-landscaped. Rainy weather caused several delays but once things finally cleared, Baumann's crew came in force and did a beautiful landscaping of our back yard, including installing a sprinkler to keep things growing while we were away, installing a downspout drain, and adding pavers and a small stone patio. They also did a massive clean up of our yard, clearing out weeds, thinning out bushes, and replacing the mulch. We don't look like we live in the jungle anymore. For general yard clean-up and maintenance, these guys are great and punctual."

"I was amazed at how quickly they transformed my back yard hill into a beautiful garden with retaining walls, walkway, trees, shrubs, and perennials. In just ten days they completed the project and it looks great. They were very professional, courteous, and polite. Since I often have deer traveling through my back yard they even selected plants and shrubs that were deer resistant. I couldn't be more pleased with the job they did and will definitely call on them again to help maintain my gardens mulching, weeding ,etc. throughout the coming years."
