"Overall the job was performed well, and our house is now back to about as good as it can get.  Ramjack calls what they do "practical recovery", and this is what I experienced.  It is not exactly level everywhere, but it is within a 1/4 to 1/2 inch or so everywhere, and it will not be rising and falling with the seasons, as it had earlier.  <br /> I moved into my house a little over a year ago.  The expansive clay soil underneath my home was unfortunately eroded due to some poor gutter downspout placement by the initial and previous owners, running the water from nearly half the roof area straight into the ground next to the foundation (not even attempting to guide the drain away from the concrete foundation, but just clipping off the downspout as it entered the dirt next to the foundation).  Sixty years of that had taken it's toll, and the foundation had settled in two areas by about 2 inches.  This 2 inch deviation was over a distance of only about 6 ft in some areas, and put strain and cracks in our wall and ceilings, and caused our doors to go out of alignment regularly.  I was tired of readjusting the bathroom and bedroom doors so they would close. <br /> Ramjack has some excellent crews, and my crew was led by Freddy, who was just awesome in every way.  Freddy communicated everything clearly, was genuinely interested in performing the best foundation repair possible, and made sure I understood and agreed with every step along the way.  They used very stiff channel iron to stabilize the foundation walls and prevent more cracking (I already had multiple cracks in the foundation).  They clearly explained how that would work with the final lift to prevent further cracking of the foundation during the lift.  Freddy and his crew were really courteous, friendly, and industrious throughout the time they were here.  I would ask for Freddy's crew to perform your job, but I think all Ramjack's crews are pretty good.  The final lift with Ramjack's owner (Ken Marquardt) supervising was performed well.  It was a bit of an anxious time for me, but it turned out well, and I am quite satisfied with the final result. <br /> I had a bid from the major competition to Ramjack also, but after seeing the foundation repair work the competitor performed for my niece, I was leery of their performance, and went with Ramjack instead.  I am happy with that decision.  The helical piers are, in  my opinion, the way to go for the majority of foundation lifts.  The push pier system that the competitor used for my niece's house resulted in multiple new cracks in their foundation.  I would highly recommend Ramjack and their helical piers. <br />"

"The estimator, Jacob, was very professional and provided several options. His bid was competitive. After negotiating a price, the work was scheduled for a few weeks later. The three-person crew arrived on time and got right to work. They did a good job keeping the interior of our home clean. However, some of their work was substandard. They failed to secure the new vapor barrier adequately in several locations and they disposed of a broken concrete (they had to remove it from our driveway for the discharge pipe and drain) by scattering it beneath some trees in our landscaped beds. When I discovered those issues the next day, I called John's and they had someone fix the problem with the vapor barrier and remove the concrete a few weeks later."

"I initially started this project with a contractor hired off of a certain free classified listing site, and had the previous contractor abandon the job and abscond with a substantial deposit. Needing to keep the ball rolling, I reached out to Ted Rudiger to come in and do the proper excavation and also facilitate the pouring of the concrete that I needed. <br /> From our initial contact, Ted was sympathetic of my situation and assured me that he would do whatever he could to make it right. It was such a great experience to work with a competent contractor whose primary motivation is doing good business and making sure the customer is happy. "We had DD Concrete and another Redmond concrete contractor come out to our house in Redmond to bid on installing a bi-level patio in our back yard.  Dan Dublsar, the owner, was prompt in arriving and got an estimate back to us within 48 hours.  It was way less than I had expected.  The second contractor didn't get around to responding with an estimate for about 2 weeks.  When we got it, it was DOUBLE Dan's estimate for exactly the same job.  Obviously we went with Dan.  He set a date for installation and followed through to the day.  We asked for some extra reinforcement and the additional cost was minimal.  He completed the job on schedule and the patio and fire pit area look incredible.  From start to finish, this contractor delivered.  We unequivocally recommend DD Concrete for an excellent job, excellent pricing and reliability.  Thanks, Dave!! <br />"

"Working with Green Rising Construction is fantastic.  Owner, Robin Wengert, is professional, talented, honest, and believes in making his clients happy.  ** First Project - For my experience with my entry way front door - Robin worked with me to come up with a design plan that exceeded my expectations.  His craftsmanship is flawless.  My entry hall originally had glass blocks in the wall about 6" away from the trim on the front door.  They have always bothered me, as the look was incomplete.  Robin designed a surround for the front door and glass blocks that is a solid framework and makes the entry way appear as one piece.  He even gave my front door a little "facelift" by applying some of the stain to it, that he had used on the framework.  It is that extra attention to detail which I so appreciate.  My entry hall is a piece of artwork now and I've received numerous compliments on how spectacular and warm it now appears.  ** Second Project - I have always wanted an area for working on my crafts.  Since my previous experience with Green Rising Construction was so positive, I called upon Robin to lend his expertise in creating a craft area in my family room.  Up until that point I had shelves and tables piled high with sewing, scrapbooking and rubber stamping projects.  Having everything laying out in that manner does not make for an inviting workspace.  Robin assisted me in purchasing cabinets and countertops, and he then created an inviting workspace for me that allows me to "hide" my projects and supplies when I'm not working on them - and it affords me so much more counterspace for working on my craft projects.  The results are amazing, and I'm truly thrilled.
