"Stan and his staff did an excellent job. They were on time and got the job done right. Very easy to work with and the price was good. We had a bit of a "special" circumstance -- a family of racoons living in chimney - they were over 2 stories down the chimney. Stan and his crew did all the work they could and capped the chimneys except for the one that the racoons inhabited. Stan had his team check back regularly, even weeks after the bulk of the work was done and paid for, and capped off the final chimney when the racoons were gone! We appreciated his diligence and getting that done for us!"

"We contacted Straightline Construction to replace our house’s skylight that had a large crack in it (previously plastic). Phil, the Project Manager, was extremely professional and measured our skylight for replacement. He provided us with multiple options, from a standard glass replacement to skylights with shades (manual or solar). We decided on the skylight with a solar shade. Straightline made the process extremely easy. We absolutely loved how it turned out, very high quality. The two person installation team did a great job and even installed the remote to open and close the shade in our kitchen. While installing the skylight they also sealed exposed nails and painted and resealed flashings. I highly recommend Straightline for your roofing needs. (I forgot to take before pictures of the inside of the old skylight. You could hardly see out of it and there was a large crack. Now we see clearly out of it.)"

"Chim Chimney came out three times and told me they were unable to clean my chimney because it was too tall (needed a ladder taller than 40').  I called around looking for a company with a taller ladder and Village Sweep said they didn't have a taller ladder, but were interested in the job.  They asked me to send some pictures, inside and out, then said they thought they could get it done.  They sent two techs (which is why the price was higher - but advised me of this over the phone).  When the techs arrived, they checked out the roof and decided it wasn't that big of a deal to clean it.  Instead of placing the ladder in the soft ground in the back of the house - as Chim Chimney attempted, they went up the front and used the concrete sidewalk to anchor the ladder.  A second, shorter ladder was needed to get from the low roof to the high roof.  The guys really didn't see why it was such a big deal.  They cleaned the chimney, did an inspection, and offered to install a cap (additional charge). <br /> When we moved in, the chimney hadn't been cleaned by the previous owners (ever?) and was filthy.  Every time the wind blew, the house stunk like smoke.  Now that it's clean, the smell is gone. <br /> It's nice to deal with a company whose employees are good at what they do!  They said the job really only needs one tech, so next time it would be the regular price. <br /> <br /> <br />"
