He also told me enough about the ballasts in the old lights to convince me to have him return the next day to replace the other old light which had not died yet, but the first new light was such an improvement that we really wanted both to be new and brighter. "A technician arrived at the appointed time and easily diagnosed the problem. I had purchased the unit and had it installed 6 years prior by another company but I couldn't recall if it was still under warranty. The tech did some research and found out it was under warranty and rather than charging me for more than $49 service call, suggested I call the original installing company, since that might save me money with labor, stating he would gladly do the repair if that was my preference.
