"When American Jewel installed the door I gave them A grades as I thought they did an excellent job.  But after using the door for a few weeks I noticed the dead bolt didn't close completely, but only about 2/3, and also noticed the screen door was no longer aligned properly, so although it closed and looked right, the door was slightly off and it would no longer lock.  I called American Jewel and they scheduled the installer to return and make the minor corrections.  The installer did not show up.  When I called American Jewel again, they did not return my calls. I complained to Angie's List, and via their complaint resolution process American Jewel contacted me.  They were very apologetic and attributed it to a mix up, accepted responsibility and sent the installer to my home to make the minor corrections.  I would use American Jewel again, despite this hiccup, as my wife and I like the door they installed, feel we received excellent value, and ultimately American Jewel followed through on the minor problems I described and corrected them all."

"The windows were manufactured earlier than we expected and we were promptly contacted about installation. Although we were told the installation was scheduled for two days, the four man crew that arrived was able to finish in a single day! Each window was installed with the same consistency in quality and efficiency. Furthermore, the crew did an excellent job protecting our floors and furnishings in every room. When it comes to evaluating the installation crew, we couldn't be happier. Regarding price, we probably paid more than we should, but that's on us. We advise getting several other quotes first and then get Castle's quote. This will definitely help in your negotiating. "I called for a free estimate and George was prompt and professional with his coming out and giving me a written estimate there at the investment house. His quote was slightly lower than others but since he was recommended on Angie's List I went with his company. I got back to him later than I had said to start the work and he still accommodated with a full crew to finish the paint job. He also had installed a small area with carpeting and that was done well too. Some wallpaper was removed and painted and I requested some small minor touch up and he was very prompt even with my unusual schedule to meet him at the house. The work was done and they were careful not to get paint on the woods floors or new windows. The quoted was on the mark and he was, as well as his crew, very pleasant and did a wonderful job."
