He helped us choose the best roof to meet our requirements and provided us with a written proposal outlining the work to be performed, warranty features, and total cost. We chose Acorn to do our job based on the following factors: we judged their proposal to be our best value considering cost, quality and warranty; Acorn has credentials as both a GAF Master Elite contractor and an Owens Corning Preferred contractor; they could schedule us before the onset of hurricane season; they have received numerous positive online reviews; and Michael was responsive and easy to work with. Whenever we called Acorn’s office, Mary was there to pick up the phone. Mary is pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, and thorough. Any questions or requests that we had were addressed promptly and effectively. The crew worked very diligently and efficiently, completing the job within the projected two-day timeframe. Ron, the head crew chief overseeing the work, was present the entire time. The cleanup was quite well done, and both the dumpster and residual material were removed in less than one hour after the crew had finished. We found all of the workers that we were directly involved with, including vendors delivering supplies, to be polite, considerate, and personable. We have only had the new roof for less than one month, but it evidently seems to be performing as expected. It certainly looks very nice and has elicited several compliments. "From initial review for estimate, Adam was superb in educating me and answering all of my questions. More importantly, treated me with utmost respect as a woman engaging this project. I was sold on Universal being a certified CertainTeed product installer. It is a superior product than what is sold in general big box stores such as Home Depot. Day of 2 layers of old shingles removal, inspector Abe showed me the sins of others. The base wood was circa 1938, and needed to go. Not unexpected however they worked with me to arrange a loan to support the extra work estimate. As well my chimney was sadly in need of professional pointing beyond the shoddy patch jobs done by prior owners. I was assigned a project manager Ben, that kept all the work moving at pace as outlined. The workers were all responsible and respectful of me and my plants and property. To sum up, they made my house happy again and me as well! Certainly added to my appraisal value! Love the professional and pride in end work product. Support veteran business! We needed to replace the roof on our home, and contacted so many other roofers, and finally came across Hammer Exteriors. Rob from Hammer Exteriors contacted us on a Friday, and made the time to talk on Saturday morning. He looked over our roof, made the measurements, and walked us through the whole process, from everything that needed to be done and how his team was going to completed the whole project. He explained the whole roofing system by GAF, showing us the samples, gave us recommendations and our choice of the shingle colors. We asked how soon he could do the project, and no sooner did he say, â How Wednesday?â On Tuesday, he had his team drop off everything that was needed, and bright and early Wednesday, his teams started the project.
