"Ed retrieved the carpet from Home Depot, saving me their delivery cost. He removed the old carpet and padding, then installed new. He swept the bare floor before installing the pad, and vacuumed the carpet when the job was completed. All told, it took him about 2 hours. However, he didn't have to install tacking strips (since the room had already been carpeted), so if your job needs those, it would take longer. Friendly, courteous, prompt."

"<strong>  <br />      Was very professional,  punctual, reasonably priced, helped me make great col;or decisions. I wanted to go green and we found an excellent padding and carpet to fill the bill. "Great. I got the material at Simply Floors and they gave me the name of Steve from Floor Tek who came out and measured, gave me a list of materials I would need, and gave me an estimate. His company then installed the tile and fixed the carpet around the tile. They were prompt, returned calls, clean, and very professional. It was a pleasure doing business with them."

"Weickert's not only does outstanding work at a reasonable price, but they are kind and wonderful to work with.  Both my sister and I live out of town and we needed someone trustworthy, reliable and honest to work on our 85-year old mother's home.  Eric, Bill and everyone who worked on my mom's kitchen and bathrooms for about 3 weeks were very respectful and kind to our mom and Eric even took our mom shopping for appliances and countertops!  I cannot say enough about their willingness to work together and they provided the ultimate customer service!  The workmanship and final product are outstanding!  My mom's kitchen looks beautiful and bathrooms are updated.  A year later, we hired Weickert's again to re-carpet my mom's basement and perform some work to sell the house.  We trusted Eric to choose the carpet and work in the house unsupervised.  Again, the quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the price reasonable.  We highly recommend Weickerts for their quality, price, flexibility and honesty.  They are simply outstanding in all aspects!"

"Excellent! They were actually earlier than assigned appointment time! Very professional! We used them before when we first purchased our home 2 years ago. We thought the carpets in house were ruined and beyond saving but Doctor Steam came out and worked their “magic” and saved us from a $3-5000 carpet replacement! So, of course we used them again this time and, again, our carpets look fresh and clean! Ron is a great guy! We highly recommend them!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in South Lebanon, OH

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
