"<p>I noticed my water heater was leaking (slowly) on Sunday 4/3.  Small leaks usually turn into big leaks in a short time so I called Buttermore on Monday 4/4.  The owner, Keith, answered the phone and I gave him my information and basement configuration.  He said he needed to find a unit and then he could give me a quote.  He called back within an hour and had located a new heater and quoted me a price.  He said he could install it later that day.  Perfect!!</p> <p>He arrived when he said he would he and his partner had everything changed out in less then an hour-and-a-half.  He took away the old water heater and left me with a nice new one.  I was very happy with the quality of the new unit and the work they performed.</p> <p>As a side note, Keith was very professional and personable.  Being a technical type of person, but not wanting to be in the way, I asked questions when it seemed appropriate.  Keith was happy to answer them and never made me feel like I was in the way or that I was bothering him.</p> <p>The water heater itself was expensive....more so than most because it was the propane-fired type that requires a power vent.  At $1,800 I was not pleased but expected it to cost this much because I had gotten a quote from another contractor 6 months prior and it was in the ballpark by $100.  My displeasure with the price had nothing to do with Keith and his company.  He was right in line with the industry and with the quality of his work it was certainly worth it.</p> <p>I highly recommend Buttermore Plumbing and will use them in the future for my plumbing/water heating needs.</p>"

He said it would take about a week to install 2-furnaces, 2-heat pumps and a hot water heater. After interviewing 5 other contractors and listening to their stories I found that hard to believe. Everyday, the company owner, Jack Cawley would stop by and ask if we had any problems, questions and if we were satisfied with the progress. You will not find that kind of professionalism anywhere around Norwich. <br />     One of Jack's subcontractors was Burnside Plumbing who specialized in HVAC Heat Pumps. The owner of Burnside Plumbing is Andrew Ladd. As many reviews about him will say, he is honest to a fault. He will not stop until the job is perfect and he will never take any shortcuts. If the hardest way is the best way, that's the course he'll take. He'll return to show you how to operate the system and by the time he has completed his work, you'll feel that he should have charged you more. I can't say enough good things about him and his team. <br />     If you choose Jack Cawley and/or Burnside Plumbing for any work, I guarantee, you WILL NOT be disappointed. I highly recommend this team and would use their services again, in a heart-beat. <br />"

"E & M came for an estimate and diagnosed the problem promptly. No sales pitch or lengthly discussion, just explained that foundation cracks had to be repaired in the backyard behind the basement, they needed to excavate and fill in the dirt. They charged 1/4 of what the previous company charged to dig trenches and install a sump pump which didn't totally keep the boiler room dry. After living in the house for 20 years the boiler room has stayed dry finally, no need for a handyman to repair anything after their work either! They accepted the Angie's List coupon. Several rainstorms later: fantastic price and great result only wish I had found them sooner."
