The roof had two distinct sections: a large section of conventional asphalt shingles and a smaller section of rolled asphalt roofing. The scope of the large section included stripping the old shingles and replacing with subroofing and new asphalt shingles. Andrie Yamalovitch brought in a crew and completed those tasks in one day. The rolled roof was deemed to be in decent condition and could accept a rubberized coating. Andrei returned a few months later to complete that task. Note that since it was a liquid product it was necessary to wait until the warmer months. Overall, Bel Islands Home Improvement proceeded with the project in a professional and courteous manner and was a pleasure to deal with, and all at a fair price. While I understand they were swamped with demand due to a snowstorm, I was led to believe they would be more responsive - and the responsibility lands with them to set expectations with me on turnaround time. In the end, they did repair our gutters in about 10 minutes, and I can't complain - it was fast, albeit very expensive. If I can find an alternative, I wouldn't hire them again."

"The experience was very stressful. The siding crew was very rough on our 1774 home. They damaged portions of the trim, a window, and the metal roof. I had to constantly monitor the crew to make sure they minimized damage and completed the work correctly. It was difficult communicating with the Spanish-speaking crew. Materials are in my yard that still have not been picked up 2 weeks later. The finished siding looks good, but that is the best complement I can make. I had doors replaced by Power on a previous job and was very satisfied. I would be cautious recommending Power for siding replacement on a similar old house."

They explained that by putting down 10% the price would be locked in for six months and gave me a two month extension. I have a house that was built in 1900, its sheathed with 1" boards and because its Timber-Framed the stud spacing is 20-22 inches on the building so I addressed the issue that would come up if they took out the sheathing and they said no problem. They'll just put plywood over the existing sheathing, then put down a waterproof membrane and then install the metal roofing I want and the house will gave a new fresh look. I'd hire them again in a heart beat. This was just an estimate they did but they were still top notch. I'm looking forward to when the roof gets replaced."
