"I did recieve 2 companies estimates for the insulation project. There were 3 responses but my timeline was short. Originally was thinking spray foam but wanted comparison to traditional fiberglass and blown in as well to make an educated product benefits and cost choice. I selected traditional insulation over spray to accomplish a 38%R factor of insulation for the house, that had no insulation in attic or crawl space, which turned out to be correct choice within my price range. Koala was fast response professional and performed a complete envelope of insulation to the house in 6 hours neat work, cleaned up, and very personable staff! I have noticed a huge difference with outside sound transmission, uniform heat within the house, reduced heat pump run time and needed to lower required temperature by 2 degrees to maintain comfortable living area temperature and humidity levels. Jon arrived on time and spent a good bit of time looking all around the basement and attic, even performing a home leak test which revealed that our chimney's damper doesn't perform as it should (already called for service) and that the insulation in our attic is up to code. He made useful suggestions about potential upgrades to our HVAC and water heater, as well as our thermostat. He installed energy efficient light bulbs in the few lamps where we didn't already have them. All told: a very useful expenditure of time and limited funds (the state of DE covering 3/4s of the cost!"
