"We paid for an analysis. When the techs arrived, we were told that our basement POSSIBLY had asbestos tiling, and therefore they were unable to use the power analysis machine, or whatever it's called. They sealed a few windows, but doors still have drafts. The price we paid, in advance, was supposed to include that machine..so we feel a bit cheated since nothing was mentioned about that machine not being used."

"Just over a month ago, I contacted two contractors from Angies List. Both replied quickly to my request for a consultation. We were trying to get a desperately needed remodel of my brother's bathroom & front porch repairs! This had to be done before he was released from the hospital...To say this was a rush job would be an understatement! The first contractor Zac, from Design Renovations, met with me and my sister at my brother's home.... Even though Zac appeared quite young,( we're old ),he was obviously extremely knowledgeable. He patiently answered tons of questions from two very stressed out sisters. Zac promised to get back to us quickly with an estimate. Luckily, he and his crew were working on another big project but had some wiggle room while waiting for materials. Fortunately, Zac and owner Rob?s, estimate came back that night and we were relieved that it was well within our budget....We chose to go with Rob and Zac over the other contractor as they were the perfect fit for us! Zac kept in constant contact throughout this project. He gave us a list of everything we needed to choose from Lowes or Home Depot, giving us full rein on design within our budget. We only paid for supplies needed at the beginning of the job and added to an ?escrow account? at Lowes as Zac & crew moved on to the next phase. All in all, it took 16 days exactly to get everything on our list completed. This included a complete demo on bathroom, installing a handicap friendly walk in shower, porch repairs, and a few other small projects...Rob & Zac went over every detail of the work that was done. Even explaining what future upkeep would be required for the tile, etc. The transformation was breathtaking. Our brother?s bathroom now looks like a spa! The repairs made on his front porch made it safe and secure...my brother could safely come home! We were pleased beyond words with Design Renovations work. They came in on budget, kept me updated continuously and left the job site spotless. When our brother came home from the hospital he was speechless! It was far better than he could?ve imagined! He?ll be using Design Renovations for his kitchen remodel in the near future. We highly recommend Rob, Zac and anyone that works for their fantastic company. Bravo men! Five stars!!

"Nosh is a true craftsman and an outstanding professional.  He provided a clear quote and stuck to it despite some unforeseen additional expenses.  His craftsmanship and professionalism is second to none.  He and his crew arrived each morning, worked hard, and cleaned up every day.  When more of the old stone was damaged than expected, he made MANY calls around to warehouses and was able to find an exact match to our 9 year old stone!!!  It's not just a match, even...it's the same stone.  It had be sitting in the warehouse for 9 years.  He bought what he needed for the job, advised us to get more for future repairs, and delivered it to our home.  I think we bought everything the warehouse had.  We'll never be able to find that stone again (as many masons have told us previously), but now we won't need to.  Most other contractors just don't put forth that extra effort to do the job right and make the customer happy.
When discussing other potential projects and details, he is very cost conscious while still having an eye on aesthetics.  He even came back after his work was complete to meet with carpenters to provide guidance on working around the remaining poorly installed stone.  We some of the caulking around the base of our backsplash had tiny holes after drying, he came back and fixed them.  We will definitely have Nosh back to repair more of the stone and do other masonry and tiling work.
Nosh has a bit of an accent, but it's really nothing...just a little extra patience when communicating over the phone.  With his skills and experience, this is the expert you want to do your masonry work!  Finding a true and honest craftsman like Nosh is 1 in 10,000 at least.
