"Positive: - Cedar fence looks good. Delivered to specs. - Installation crew was friendly, worked quickly. - Process of getting the initial quote and then revised quotes was efficient. - Price was in line with market, competitive Issues - We were told 1-2 weeks lead time, it ended up being 5-6 weeks lead time. - We had an issue with regard to how the fence fit with the retaining wall that we wanted resolved. The salesperson seemed to question the issue, rather than understanding the additional work we wanted done and why we were not satisfied. We subsequently did get a quote for additional work, but decided not to proceed with it. - The team did not ask how to deal with electrical wiring that went along the fence. And post-installation, they left a live electrical outlet hanging out onto the sidewalk - which was a safety hazard. Was not their job to address the electric, but still should have been handled more carefully. - Payment terms are favorable to the company. They took partial payment up front while I waited for 5-6 weeks, but then were very aggressive about immediate payment, seeming more concerned about getting paid day-of before even understanding if I considered the work done or was satisfied."

"The work that was done at our house was more than exceptional. Charles knew the metal needed and the type of gate that we were looking to get installed. He was very easy to work with and made us feel that us as his customers were very much a priority. I will only recommend Charles Ornamental to others seeking welding work. Thank you Charles and your team in keeping your appointments and completing the work we needed for security and peace of mind!!"

"The springs broke on a Friday morning. Julio came on Saturday (maybe overtime for him, but no extra fee for us), and replaced the springs in less than an hour. I used this company initially about five years ago, and will use them again in the future for garage door issues. Finally, I'm impressed that their labor fee is a flat rate, whether the work takes 20 minutes or a few hours."

"Hired them to do a BGE home energy audit, and Larry Tennant performed this for the company. This included an inspection of the attic insulation which resulted in a lot of ceiling drywall essentially coming off the joists, multiple nails popping through the paint. I was really unhappy with this new problem, since what was supposed to be a $100 energy audit now led to damage that would cost several hundred dollars to repair. From Larry's point of view, the ceiling drywall likely had pre-existing problems making it vulnerable to damage from the inspection, something he had no way of knowing. After a lot of discussion, Larry contributed $500 toward the costs of fixing the ceiling, a reasonable compromise for both parties since the drywall already appeared to have pre-existing issues. Through the experience, he was professional, responsive, and was 100% committed to finding a mutually agreeable solution months after the audit was completed. Even though I would have rather never gone through the experience, I have the highest level of respect for Larry's integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. I would gladly hire him again if we needed his services again."

"Had 270' of new wood fence installed, no removal of old fence was needed. Jeff personally came to do the estimate, which was a nice personal touch unlike the bigger fencing companies that send salespeople out. Jeff's prices were reasonable for the scope of work and being the owner and not a salesperson, he was able to explain the whole construction process from start to finish. His crew came right on time and finished the job in one day. They worked tirelessly and did a fantastic job. The fence went up a month or so before the huge windstorms that came through the area, and the fence didn't even budge. Many other fences fell over! Great workmanship, reasonable pricing."

"I had a terrific experience working with Fredy and his crew of Maxc Impressions. Fredy is smart, organized, honest, and an excellent communicator. The primary job was to paint a house in Rockville I was getting ready to put on market – mostly interior but some exterior portions as well. The crew worked straight and tirelessly for about a week-and-a-half. I didn't even have the house completely cleared-out as I intended when they started working, and they just moved stuff and worked around it.

I scheduled a meeting with Fredy to get an estimate; he arrived promptly and was polite and detailed - taking pictures of specific items as we went through the house. He e-mailed a proposal within a few days. His cost was reasonable and amongst the other contractors I met with, his proposal was the most specific and thorough. I gave the okay and his crew started working within a couple days.

At maximum, there were perhaps a dozen crew members working on different things around the house. Beyond painting, the crew also did minor carpentry, floor installation, power-washing, trash haul-away, siding patches, dismantled a metal shed, and replaced electrical fixtures,. A lot these things were add-on items beyond the original proposal. Fredy would give the options and the costs and would only proceed if I gave the okay. At the end of the project, they cleaned-up after themselves (they would also cover-up and sweep at the end of each day) and even labeled all the leftover paint cans which I really appreciated.

During the project Fredy and I would correspond through calls and text. When I texted he would respond back within a few minutes – a couple hours tops. For more detailed matters, he would e-mail things like itemized lists and costs. Sometimes when I talk to contractors, I have to worry if they really understood the main gist or underlying issue of something. I never had to worry about this with Fredy; he is always on point, understands my concerns, and gives me the insights and the best options. The crew was skillful, hard-working, and polite. When I was in the house trying to clear things out, they would subtly shift their working area from where I was.

Overall, this was one of the best working experiences I’ve had on a larger project. I highly recommend Fredy and MaxC."

"I want to send a big Thank You out to Mike and the guys at Fine Fence in Mt. Airy. Today, they replaced the fence at my daughter's town house, and I have to say that the quality of the materials and the workmanship is outstanding. They did a 3.5 foot picket fence in the front, and a 6 foot privacy fence in the back. The posts are 4x4 or 6x6 (for the gate) pressure treated, and the rest of the fence is cedar. The fence is beautiful. Even the nails are all in a line on the pickets. I would highly recommend Fine Fence."
