"I recently had a home inspection done by Beau Roper at GreenWorks, and I?m blown away by the quality. This wasn't just a standard checklist; the report was incredibly advanced, interactive, and tech-heavy. Beau used drones to get high-resolution views of the roof and infrared thermal imaging to find hidden issues like missing wall insulation that a typical visual inspection would have completely missed. Beau?s attention to detail is elite. He caught a major life-safety hazard with a disconnected water heater flue venting into the attic and identified insufficient AC cooling differentials that required a specialist's eye. He even provided an elevation map of the foundation to give us a clear performance baseline. If you want an inspector who uses the best technology to find what others miss, ask for Beau Roper!"

"Last night I saw what looked like black mold on my bedroom ceiling. A small area. I could barely sleep and wasn’t sure who to call. Well, I decided to call All Nation based on their reviews. Josh was able to come out THIS afternoon. On a Friday! It was such a relief. He inspected my ceiling but also went into the attic and took a ton of photos. Well, I was kind of surprised. A lot of rodent feces, as well as condensation around the ducts of my air conditioning system. He also mentioned other things and showed me with pictures. He’s going to write everything up so I can see it and understand it. They can come out next week to take care of it. I am so relieved that I called and that one company can handle everything. He says he can take out the insulation with the feces, everything. Then I tried to pay him but this was free for him to come out and inspect everything. What a wonderful company."

"<p>it was superb! they easiest, hassle free Radon test in town, with extremely proficient people -- very knowledgeable and very people-friendly! they took their time to explain things on the phone to me before I committed. the test came back within 10 days or so -- via email. which is very convenient. it was very clear as it is, but I like talking through it and get advice. they were instantly available to discuss. they gave me future tips to keep on top of all things Radon related. </p> <p>I have to say that all this comes to be after 3 months of many back and forths with 3 other companies -- none of the other companies could be bothered to schedule a time, and those who did, never showed up.. many times over. I don't know why I was so patient with them and I wish had discovered Environmental Testing & Research Laboratories much sooner.</p> <p>Really highly recommend them!</p> <br />"

"These guys are knowledgeable, certified and honest. My water heater had calcium buildup and gave out (it was old). Water was all over my walls and floors. My insurance sent out a preferred vendor, I didn’t feel comfortable and took to the internet and found these guys. I definitely will use and recommend Arnold and his team to anyone in need of their services. Thanks again A&B Restoration Inc"

"My wife and I bought a house with asbestos in the popcorn ceiling. For peace of mind and resale potential, we are having it removed. Even though Austin Enviro Group does not do asbestos abatement (just testing and consulting), the gentleman guided my wife and I through the process. He also recommended not only who we should contact for these services but also who to stay away from. For anybody who needs any info or testing of dangerous materials, these are the guys to call first. I would have saved myself a lot of running around in circles had I known this. <br />"

"Todd did a great job for me.  He showed up on time, gave me lots of detail, answered all my questions, and the job was completed as discussed. He met with my insurance adjuster and helped me get the hail claim re-evaluated.  I wanted to use a Owens Corning shingle and at that time he was certified only for GAF.  He got certified with Owens Corning prior to installing my roof so that it would qualify for the best available warranty.  I was very pleased with the workmanship and the scheduling.  I would use Driftwood again and I give them a high recommendation.  <br />"

"<p>My inspector was Ron Cress.  10 years ago when I bought my first house he was my home inspector (when he was with Land America) and I was so impressed with his knowledge, his thoroughness, and his professionalism that when I was buying a new house I hunted him down on the internet and found him working for Buyers Protection Group.  With my first house he saved me a lot of headache by finding over 160 items the builder of house did wrong, including 8 major building code violations.  Without Ron's inspection I would have had an uneven roof, and bannisters that weren't safe for my kids.  I owe him a lot, so I hired him a second time.  He did not disappoint.  Since this house was an existing house his focus was no longer on code, but safety and just general defects.  He found cases of wood rot, plumbing issues, electrical issues where the GFI outlets weren't working correctly, and improper drainage on the roof.  At the same time he was very re-assuring that the house was a very good house, and if these were our only problems then we were in great shape.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I cannot attest to any of the other inspectors at this company, but I highly recommend Ron.  </p> <br />"

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in Spicewood, TX

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
