"Excellent job overall. John was faced with challenges with the fence post removal in that they were imbedded in rather large amounts of concrete that required extra efforts (steel pry bars and winch) to remove from the ground. John disposed of the fence posts and concrete remains as well. John also removed, replaced and disposed of twelve 2x10x48" pressure treated steps. Many of the steps required special handling and additional bracing installed due to the age and condition of the existing stair stringers. After the initial installation, John was asked to re-look at a couple of the stair treads, and he returned very promptly to return and make adjustments without complaint. John also removed the remnants of two 2x8' very old (and brittle) overhead semi-transparent panels over the rear deck. He replaced with new customer-provided polycarbonate panels of the same dimensions and hauled away the old remains. He also removed and disposed of several unwanted saplings that were growing at random and completed a major trim on an overgrown euonymus bush/tree to prevent damage to house siding and allow adequate airflow to an outside air-conditioning unit."

He did spend extra time making sure that the work was well done, took extra time to explain his work, and did a minor repair on a duct opening where the tube was torn, and he and his assistant cleaned after themselves. "I called Stoneberger to get a second opinion and cost estimate with regard to repair of my non-functioning garage door.  Amber Stoneberger was very responsive to my problem by phone and worked around my schedule to get a service call set up.  She promised that they would fix the problem in one visit and have the parts needed on hand.  Brian Stoneberger arrived on time, assessed the warp in the metal section that was preventing the door from closing and felt confident that bracing the door with one strut would fix the problem.  My garage door hasn't been serviced or lubed in eleven years -- but Brian got it fixed and humming like new.  Aside from installing the strut, Brian lubed everything; he taught me how to lubricate all of the hinges and moving parts; he changed out the dead battery on the exterior key pad, reprogrammed it, and then taught me how to reprogram it; and without asking, he replaced one of the dead lightbulbs in the overhead unit and fixed the problem with the socket that was causing the bulb to go out.  He even gave me a spare can of the proper lubricant for my future use. He did all of this within about an hour.  My impression is that this is a family-owned business that operates with integrity; they take pride in the service they provide and they strive for excellence.  They have earned my trust.  I am noting that my first call was to Door Doctor in Sterling. Door Doctor knew that I wanted the door fixed in one visit but instead sent "an estimator" whose prognosis for the repair vasilated and cost estimate nearly doubled by the time he was done assessing my situation.  So glad I followed my instincts and decided to get a second opinion, and really glad that I found the Stonebergers.

"Juan was very easy to work with even with a little bit of a language barrier. He responded quickly to all my messages and was able to start work quickly. He matched our paint exactly and purchased premium quality products. He went out of his way to order the correct siding boards, taking time to do it correctly. His team was able to tackle all the additional work that popped up including replacing the gutters, changing exterior light fixtures, removing and repairing an old wall exhaust, replacing old shutters and adding trim to the chimney. There were a few delays in the work mostly due to the weather but otherwise he managed time and supplies very well. Will be using him again for my other work inside the house!"

"Travis and Chris were a delightful team, arriving on time, staying with the job, and completing work as promised.  Even though I was at work during most of the job, Travis communicated routinely on email regarding status of the job. Also, Travis and Chris were careful not to recoat the deck during two days when rain threatened, and it did rain. I was surprised on how much sanding and prep work was accomplished before they applied the stain, but every home handyman knows 60-80 percent of the time associated with any repair or maintenance is in the preparation.  Three coats of stain were applied and work was completed on a Saturday, as Travis wanted to take advantage of good weather before the threat of rain came back into the forecast.  In addition deck re-coating, Travis repaired several spots on the underneath patio at minimal cost.  The price of the job was extremely fair - 50% paid before the work started and the balance after completion.  We would not hesitate to call on Graham Restoration for future work.
