"Prefacing this review with transparency that I’m frustrated currently with their final response on one item. Will do my best to be objective. Pros: -High speed process for diagraming layout and giving a quote quickly. -Staff is friendly -Great work on installing the Murphy door I’d purchased. Their cabinet guy is a rockstar. -The electrical work was excellent (some of the positioning in the mechanical room of lights was odd) -Project Manager was professional, responsive, and friendly. Cons: -Caulking in the bathroom shower (panel insert was not complete) -Caulking missing in areas of molding and quarter round (found painting) -Final trim out was horrible with a lot of splintered pieces (door frames, baseboards) I didn’t notice until painting. Also found that they had made a mess installing door hardware in many places (think multiple holes hidden) -Mess – They left a big mess on the flooring because they didn’t do any touch ups on the drywall until after the flooring was in. They didn’t clean up at all in the mechanical and under the stairs. And I mean dry wall all over the place, plaster clumps big as a biscuit dried on the ground. I still have more work to clean up. -Flooring – Flooring choices were limited to just a few. This probably should have been communicated more clearly. The issue for me was I had wanted to see if they could find the same tile I had in other rooms of the house and use the same tile, and they said no which they had not said no to during the estimate. At this point they already had almost 30% deposit from me. (I had a bog of the original which some one tossed moving my stuff). -Credit – I provided my own shower accessories (because it matched rest of my house)after the project manager said I could get a credit for. My own fault for not finding out how much that was. After the project was done I had to go back to them to get the credit and it was very low because of “volume” they buy in. They also said I didn’t provide something I did which I have a receipt for and it disappeared. I tried to argue it but it’s not worth the roughly $150. Full transparency this was the tipping point for me. Neutral: (Items I think people should know but aren’t something to fault a company on.) -Broken Latch on murphy door, they provided replacement hardware for me to install but there had been some suggestion I’d broken it. -Be aware they only offer white for paint. I went with not having it painted thought it was supposed to be paint ready. A lot of the issues I found going through painting it on my own. -Deposit – They wanted the deposit a lot sooner than I thought they originally said it would be due. I paid 3 months before they started, I believe. -Ran a gas saw inside the house for an extended time to cut a window. It set off our CO2 sensors and my teens called 911. Fire department and gas company came out. We had to wait for the house to air out to ensure it wasn’t a gas leak. In the end I’ve never had this scale of work done, but two houses I had built (including this one) had less issues. The deck I just had built also had less issues. So that is the best comparison I have for rating the work. Everything found during painting I haven't brought back to them. I simply can't afford it to take any longer to finish my basement and cost of repainting etc. If I'd known what I know now I may have chosen another contractor for my basement."
