When he arrived he properly determined the age of my roof (with out me even telling him), and then explained that my shingles were fine and all I needed to do was replace the pipe flashing on my roof. He took the time to explain to me where to look so I could understand where the water was coming from. He gave me a very reasonable price so I hired him on the spot. He showed me in advance the materials he would use to replace the flashing and he showed me the damaged flashing when he removed it to confirm his assessment was accurate.
