Another contractor told me that the job was impossible, because of obstables both between closet floor and dining room ceiling and closet ceiling and roof. He climbed up and removed a branch that was growing under some shingles at the edge, checked for damage, then looked in the attic (and sent me photos and video) and in a room where I was worried about a possible leak — and he didn’t charge me for anything. He gave me a reasonable ballpark estimate for a new roof, but without any pressure to replace it now. I plan to call him for that in a few years."
