"They came out the first time and fixed the garage door opener. At that time, they warned me that I may need a new opener, which I somewhat expected. This first technician was very professional and seemed to know what he was talking about, however the opener quit working again a few days later. I asked them to just come replace the garage door opener, however, I was hoping they would apply the money I had paid for the original service call to the garage door opener, since they had talked me out of doing it the first time. I finally talked them into that. However, I felt like they were angry about it and did a poor job because I asked for a deal. The wall button was installed in such a way that it didn't cover up the previous installation. My husband had to move it so that it would look better. The installer left trash, including bolts and screws all over my garage floor (can you say flat tire?). I called a left a message with them to let the boss know and never received a return phone call. My final complaint is that the garage door opener installers and the door installer/adjusters are different technicians. So, I (also?) needed my garage door adjusted - the whole system is still very loud - even though I bought a belt driven opener hoping for it to be quiet. I'm calling someone else to fix my door and hope that fixes the problem."

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in Star, ID

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
