"Excellent! Great communication. Very quick quote. Not pushy with scheduling appointment. Was a little late, but called numerous times... left text messages and kept communication lines open. Provided a fair quote. Performed excellent problem solving techniques and solutions. Friendly and respectful. Would hire again for electrical and other construction jobs. Very satisfied!"

"I put in my claim with choice home warranty and CHW setup an appointment for/with Demond electric company The technician arrived I paid the required service fee charge (the service fee varies per state -i have used CHW in 3 different states and the service fee was affordable for the 3 different states) The Demond Electric technician Paul was very very professional, polite, knowledgeable and did a great job."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"I asked him for an extended estimate to do the entire house and I never heard back from him. We used him to get him to do work for the house and he actually contacted me first. He didn't do anything. He didn't charge me anything. He just gave me an estimate. He came out to see what kind of work we needed and we extended that outside of the $149 because we needed more work done. He was going to write me up an estimate, and I never heard back from him. I have his card so I'm going to try to call him again. Except for the followup, he was great. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Neither one of us had followed up on our meeting. He made the first point of contact and he just failed to follow up, and I failed to chase him."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Statesboro, GA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
