"We hired Total Craftsman to put on a porch and wheelchair ramp combined. We wanted something not looking like an accessible house . The project turned out perfectly and our homes looks like a different house now . We were so happy with them ( Dec 2022) that we hired them for windows , roofing and new siding too in Spring of 2023 ! Our home looks fabulous. All the work was done timely and professionally and clean up was excellent as well. John did much of the work and oversaw all the sub contractors as well ! "I cannot say enough good things about Craig and his team at Senior Handy Services! They replaced a roof, remodeled a bathroom and did other repairs and painting around my parent's home to make it safe for my 80+ yr. old parents to navigate. Wil Gogel, Craig's roofer, did an EXCELLENT job installing their roof and went above and beyond having to deal with an unscrupulous solar company that had damaged my parent's roof. He spent many hours on the phone with them trying to get problems resolved. These men truly know what they are doing and are true craftsmen that take pride in doing a job with excellence. They were very patient with my parents and answered any questions we had. I am 1500 miles away and it was a comfort knowing they were in good hands with Craig and his team. My parents now have a beautiful and safe bathroom, and a roof that does not leak. Their craftsmanship on all levels was outstanding. It is very hard to find people/companies that take pride in their workmanship, are honest and have integrity. Senior Handy Services exhibited all this and more. "We found Charles E. Jackson Construction on Angie's List. We need drywall installed in an existing 13 x 25 addition that we had ripped down to the studs. Chuck gave the best estimate for the job and we accepted. At the time of the estimate I said we needed the work done by the end of June at the absolute latest - we were holding a big party at the house August 2, and we were planning to do the work of painting and tiling the entire room, so needed time to do this. <br /> We got the estimate about May 18. He said he wasn't able to start until mid-June which we accepted. However, later he had to push his start date back a couple of days, and ran behind schedule on the job. He did finally finish the job on July 3. (he installed the baseboards a couple of weeks later after the tile was installed, which was good) <br /> We are happy with the work he did. It was a difficult job. The addition had a lot of oddities - sloped ceiling, really not square room, door and window opening and closings not quite right, uneven floor. And the room is un-heated/un-air conditioned. He did a great job getting the drywall, cement board, and casings installed, accomodating all of those oddities. We have no complaints about his work. <br /> Our only complaint was with the schedule. As noted, he finished after the agreed-upon and quot;due dateand quot; and I had hoped it would be done before then. As other reviewers commented, while he works, he works really hard and doesn't stop. However, at least at our job, he would only work for a few hours each day.....some days 3-5 hours, a couple of days 2 hours, a few days more than 5. The total job took more than 2 weeks to complete, but I think could have been done sooner if he'd worked full days, especially at the beginning of the job. <br /> He was apologetic about the delay completing the job and even offered to help us paint and tile, which is very nice and the offer was appreciated. We did the painting and tiling ourselves, and got the room completed in time for our big party, so all's well in the end. <br />"
