In addition to the kitchen needing a new floor, fixtures, counter tops and cabinets, we cut a hole in the side of the house and put a large window there. More light in the kitchen is fantastic! The project took more than 2 months from start to finish. It was a little longer than we anticipated but we understood. Legacy has talented carpenters but not a lot of them. Mark and Robert both told us it would be nice and that can take a little time. They were right. The attention to detail was awesome. And as the project unfolded we did make small changes on the fly. Those were a difference maker. we love our new kitchen and we look forward to getting our master bath done next by Legacy. "I contacted Wayne Thibodeaux, Jr., of Smart Floors because I needed floor repairs, and a contractor already on Angie's List had recommended him. He came out for an estimate, saw that the repairs would go beyond what he normally provides (carpet/floor installation and minor repair), showed me what the problem was (sagging floor joists), explained what the probable fix would be, and recommended several other outfits for the job. When I received the other estimate and realized that my living room carpet would need to be pulled back for some of these repairs and then restretched, I arranged for Wayne to coordinate with these other workers to do this part of the job.
He and his crew were prompt, efficient, and friendly, and they were careful about moving my fragile furniture. Wayne also answers phone calls and texts promptly, which is an added bonus. He charges $30 for an estimate, but then if he's hired that money is applied to your total bill. If I need carpet or tile installed, I'll definitely call him again."
