"First contacted Shelf Genie at the Tacoma Home Show and made an appointment for a home consultation. The sales person (Josh) arrived as scheduled and we put together a plan and estimate for our desired products. Have to admit the price does seem high but we didn't get any other estimates (who else offers this kind of product?) It takes 6-8 weeks for the shelf and lazy susan units to be produced. Ours took a little longer because the sales person and the installer assumed that the manufacturer could make a slight change in the turntable product to allow it to fit in our corner cabinets. Turns out they don't make any changes to the offered product. Shelf Genie attempted to contact us for a decision on whether to cancel those products from our order or to change to a product that would fit but we were on vacation so it took a while to get back with them, thus extending the manufacturing time. The installer (Justin) contacted us once the products had arrived and arranged an installation date. He arrived on time and got right to work. The turntable installations were the toughest because our corner cabinets were simply regular cabinets installed at an angle at the corner so we had pie shaped empty spaces on both sides of these cabinets. Justin had to cut out the center shelves and the sides of both corner cabinets. He was able to do all the cutting without creating any noticeable dust in the house. Everything was cleaned up spic-n-span when he was done. Installation took about 6 hrs. Our only disappointment was we didn't gain as much shelf space as we had hoped but the easy access to EVERYTHING more than makes up for it."

"Scott provided a good quote that described the work to be done with accurate pricing. This included: demo of the existing structure, disposal of the old decking and footings, installation of new footings, framing, Azek decking with a picture-frame border, and aluminum picket railing. During demolition of the decking, Scott discovered some dry-rot on the siding (where the previous deck hadn't had **any** flashing installed). He was able to add the demo and replacement of that siding with new pre-primed siding (we opted to paint it ourselves) as a separate quote at a per-hour amount with an estimate for hours and materials. The final product is excellent and my family is loving being out on our deck and enjoying our backyard! The only issues we ran into were in regard to communication and scheduling. Scott did a good job of communicating the plan when he was on-site or had finished up a stage in the project, but he did not do a good job of keeping us in the loop when schedules changed or there were delays. We also were the ones that needed to initiate contact after the schedule had gone off-track and find out when the next stage was going to begin. I would've appreciated (and would ask for) a more concrete schedule for the project laid out at the beginning and updates over time if that schedule needed to adjust. (Note: The railing was a known time-delay in the process and Scott did a good job communicating that it would be 3-4 weeks after construction of the deck was complete before the railing was finished being fabricated and installed.) Generally he was responsive on the first text/email, but the follow-through to finish the conversation and answer all questions wasn't always there. All said, Scott did a great job with the work we hired him to do and the deck is fabulous. It might've taken longer than originally hoped and with a few more bumps in the road, but as I said above, we're very happy with the end result."

"Joel and his team removed the wall paper from two bathrooms. The wallpaper in the master bedroom was really stuck on and we elected to just have it primed and texturized rather than spending the time/money trying to remove it and then having to repair the walls.They did a great job and were very clear at every step of the way what our options were. They did a major repair in ceiling that had previously had a leak, as well as an area on a wall that needed drywall and also repaired any holes, etc. We talked about the most cost effective way to do the wallpaper removal as well as the drywall repairs. They did a great job. When it came time for painting, Amy came out to the house and helped us choose colors that would work with all the givens in the rooms. She was lovely and very patient as we looked at different choices and when we tentatively settled on the colors, she got them on the wall so we could see if that is what we really wanted.They finished the entire paint job in 2 days- which included priming, two paint coats and touch ups.It is absolutely what we wanted and we are very pleased.I highly recommend these folks- they worked fast, respected our space [taking shoes off, making sure furniture was adequately protected, etc.], showed up exactly when they said they would, and delivered as promised."

"He was quick to respond, met with me regularly to check on how I wanted the grading done and sidewalk poured, and fixed any minor issues I had like a piece of rebar that was left sticking out. The final price was about $200 higher than the quote, due in part to bringing in slightly more topsoil and lots of rebar in the cement. Overall, very timely and great job."
