"My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"During installation they realized they were missing a part. The installers, who didn't speak adequate English, indicated that they would have the company call me. They left with the nonfunctional door with my wall studs exposed to the elements outside. A week later the company had not called. When I called them, they were unaware of the issue. They said they would order the part and it would take a week. A week later I still hadn't heard from them. When I called after week two, the customer service manager named Brian advised that it would take another week. When I called during weeks three and four after not hearing from them, customer service simply rolled to voicemail from the main receptionist. No one called me back nor returned my email. Shortly after four weeks after the failed installation, I emailed the original salesman and told him I wanted to invoke the refund clause based on the guarantee. He wrote me back and said that would not be possible, because the contract allowed for installation difficulties, not further specified. Finally, after five weeks beyond the field installation I got a call saying the part was ready and the installer can be completed. I don't recall an experience with a little less responsive customer service divisionanywhere. Based on this I will never use Windows world again <br />"

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured.
