"Carpentry Plus Building came to our rescue to build a deck for my mom after a disastrous experience with a different contractor that we ended up firing. They picked up where the other contractor left off (something others were not willing to do). I originally contacted them on a Friday at 4:30 pm. To my surprise, they got back with me within an hour and continued to engage for several hours after that, ultimately providing a very reasonable quote for an unusual deck installation. Every single step of the way, Brad and Lauri were professional, courteous, honest, and trustworthy. They did exactly what they said they would do and either showed up on time, or early. The entire job was completed in less than two weeks from the day I contacted them, and three weeks sooner than they estimated. The workmanship and craftsmanship was exceptional with an unparalleled attention to detail. They even cleaned my mom's windows when they were done! These are people who clearly care about the quality of their work and also know a thing or two about how to treat customers. I'd use Carpentry Plus again in a heartbeat and I recommend them with the highest of praise."

"Overall I am very happy with the build. We had a two car garage built from the ground up. We had really good advice on the location, style of garage, and size. The price was reasonable too. There were a few problems with the garage door which caused it to get stuck while open quite a few times. That issue was resolved to my satisfaction as they sent out a third party company who fixed some minor installation issues. The bedroom is great, we are really happy with the way it turned out. We had a two car garage converted into a bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet. The only part I was not happy about was the timing. We signed the contract and paid for the deposit on the garage in April 2019 and construction didn't start until November 2019. The remodel did not start until January 2020 and finished at the end of March 2020. We are still waiting on the driveway which has already been paid in full. The most frustrating part is the only time you get an update is when you call or text repeatedly and it should not be like that. It should be the builders job to call and give you updates. I've now been waiting since July 2019 for a gravel driveway. Understanding COVID shut things down, but everything opened in June 2020 and it's now October 2020 and it's not done. After texting several times for over a month the gravel was finally delivered. I asked when the driveway would be done and was told "no timeframe". I asked the owner to call, no response. So I posted a Facebook post as I no longer had his number and that was the only way to get a response. I had a text from him that he would call today, and it never happened. I would hire him again but I would make sure the contract specifies a completion date. I will post an updated review and pictures as soon as the driveway is done."

"Great from start to finish. Unlike some other bidders, there was no high-pressure salesmanship when we discussed the quote. There was some lag between signing the contract and starting the job but we were well informed ahead of time and project manager Jake Strank kept us in the loop about any schedule changes (there weren't many). The guys were above-and-beyond patient with kids and dogs hovering around the site. They finished the job when they said they would. The house looks beautiful. The quote originally sounded high but when I added it all up--2 or 3 guys per day x more than 2 weeks plus all the extras we wanted--it seemed more reasonable. Thanks Jake & crew! I hope you'll be available when I get around to replacing the rest of the windows and refinishing the porch."

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"Our experience was excellent.  Plans were finalized at the signing of the contract.  Whenever something that could not be foreseen until the time of tear down, Woodstone Builders consulted us, provided an estimate of cost, and allowed us time to decide on moving forward.  Whenever I made changes to the plan, it was discussed and if an additional price would incur, Woodstone Builders were ready with estimates.  All estimates/charges were fair and honest.  From start to finished, Woodstone Builders cleaned up daily, organized their equipment and was always conscious that we still lived there during all the construction.  They were always conscious of the home owner and their access to their living space whether it was putting a car in the garage after hours or having to walk through construction to get to other parts of the house.  Woodstone Builders were accommodating to make changes if the home owners wanted to deviate from the original plan, even if it meant that they had to redo some part to change the plan.  All areas that were pre-existing were covered and protected.  All messes were cleaned and vacuumed at the end of each day.  They were professionals, had good work ethics, and were personable.  There were 3 payments and at the time of signing the contract, we were told approximately where the individual payments were be expected and when that time came, we were notified in advance.  On the final day, we were asked to make a list of anything we wanted Woodstone to adjust, any concerns of workmanship, or corrections.  Very minor tasks were listed and inspected cheerfully. There were no mistakes, sloppy construction, or problems that showed poor workmanship.  There was nothing that I disliked, was concerned about, or not happy with.  The workmanship was EXCELLENT!  As one who pays attention to details, I could not find a problem or poor work.  Any sub-contractors that Woodstone Builders provided were excellent and experienced and on time, and did not have any wait time that would interfere with progress."

"<p>The window unit is attractive.  I picked Northern because of their choice of product.  I'm still waiting for a massive rain storm!  Nothing like torrential water to test a basement window!  They warned me the install date might shift if the weather was bad, and it did shift, and shifted a little more than they first said.  But the weather was torrentially bad the week before so I can't blame them.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I'm going to give them an "A" overall.  If I have problems in the future I will see if I can update this review.  </p> <p><br /></p> <p>FYI - the guys who came on site were very nice.  </p> <br />"

"Quote process was good: <br /> We contacted HWC and they were very accommodating when it came to providing a quote for our new kitchen - even meeting on the weekend to look at the kitchen & take measurements for the quote.  I believe it took around three weeks for  the quote to be returned (our contact was on vacation for a week in there).  The quote was reasonable and we visited their showroom to get better acquainted and go through some of the options for the new kitchen. We were not positive what we wanted and were still weighing the budget, but over the next few weeks we were able to email HWC with various options/configurations and they were prompt in their answers. <br /> pre-construction, not-so-good: <br /> We decided to pull the trigger; through the emailing back and forth, we found the kitchen that matched the budget and setup a meeting to go over the final details.    We got all the details hammered out, papers signed, and we were on our way to a new kitchen!  We did the handshake and were told that our project manager will be contacting us early next week to go over final dates.  Well, Monday came and went, then Tuesday (with confirmation that we'd here something Wed), then Wednesday... with me leaving a message with the project manager.  By the end of Thursday I'm leaving a message with the production manager to figure what is going on.  Skipping ahead, it was not until Wednesday that we were contacted for the first time.  We explained how frustrated we were and things were not going well at all.  This must have lit a fire, because things went great afterwards.  We got demo and install dates that we needed and we were rolling. <br /> the great: <br /> the new kitchen took around 8 days to complete... smashing out the old kitchen, tearing out the bulkheads, filling the gaping holes (fixing the roof issues) and such (other trades came in to handle the plumbing and electrical).  the carpenter was very professional, knew his stuff, and very detail oriented.  The kitchen came out fantastic!  Bumpy start, but very happy with the results. <br />"
