"When I went looking for someone to paint my home, I found it confusing and a bit daunting that there were so many painting companies in Tucson. I picked Arizona Painting Company because of the excellent customer service they brought to the process. They did a complete inspection of my home, pointing out issues that needed to be addressed, then gave me a comparable quote that I decided on over anyone else. The inspector/sales representative then gave me a tentative date to start the project. I was contacted by Arizona Painting Company 2 weeks earlier than the quote date to schedule the complete painting of my home which consisted of the whole exterior including the running board around the eves, the garage door, and the front door. "Highly recommended! After 23 years, we needed to paint the exterior of our home. A&K Painting was initially hired by a General Contractor and they were excellent! The first day they power washed the exterior walls. The second day the exterior was completely painted along with staining the wood accents and viga poles. The house looked terrific so we decided to have them also do the window trim. What a huge difference that made! There were three sliding screen doors that were showing their age so Keith took them to an Ace Hardware location that does rescreening and once they were ready, he brought them back and installed them for us. The house looks brand new again! Once our backyard project is done, we will have them come back to paint the new wall. "High Sonoran repainted our home's exterior and yard walls using Dunn-Edwards paint. They have pride in their work and say they take customer satisfaction seriously but seem to operate using an 'old school' business model whereby their word that they'll do the job right is 'good enough' especially on warranting the end result. We originally went with a single color scheme on the entire house but at the conclusion of day 1 we inquired about painting the bird stop and fascia a second color. With only 2 sides of the home painted we were charged an additional $400 to to cover the cost of 2 gallons of paint and labor. Since the original quote of $3250 for the house would have included painting a separate trim color, $400 (12.3%) of the total house painting cost seemed excessive especially since half the house had yet to be painted. There should have been no additional cost for paint and the extra labor was in the owner ordering and picking up 2 gallons of paint and the respraying of the bird stops on the 2 sides of the home previously painted. Hand painting all the fascia should have been covered under the original $3250 bid. I was involved for 15 yrs. with a home improvement firm and couldn't imagine charging a customer an additional $400 on a $4600 job that I had a 2 man crew (lead and helper) on for 2.5 days. Alex said repeatedly "we'll love the paint job"....well we do like the paint job just not loving that extra $400 we shelled out."
