"I called Capital Palmetto Builders to have a repair done to my Chimney flashing (beginning to leak into the house). I called them specifically because of their great reviews both here and on Google. I actually called several large roofing companies in the Columbia area, and was told that they “aren’t doing any roofing repairs, only replacements”. I had a lot of trouble reaching these companies, and getting anyone to call me back-the resounding answer I got was that they were too busy for my repair. I called CPB and they took my info and said someone would reach out to me. Andrew Howell called me very promptly and even came out to look at the leak on a Sunday morning! He was extremely professional, and quickly Identified the problem as the chimney flashing (which I had suspected) he also informed me that I had hail damage on the roof, which I was unaware of. Instead of dumping money into an old roof, I filed a claim w/ my insurance for the hail damage. Andrew Howell and Daryl Phelps came out and actually helped me file the claim with the insurance. They also came out when the adjustor came to inspect, to represent my best interest and help explain their findings to the adjustor. The insurance company approved a full roof replacement. So with the help of CPB I got a brand new roof (with high end archetectural shingles) for about the same amount of money I would’ve been putting into the chimney flashing repair. For the actual replacement, they came out early one morning and began the work with a very large crew. They were able to remove the old shingles and get probably 90% complete in the first day. The next day they came back to finish everything up and clean up all of the old materials. After the roof was finished, Daryl and Andrew both came out and flew a drone over the house to get close up pictures and videos, and to inspect the work their crew had completed. I couldn’t be happier with the work that they completed. They helped me get a brand new roof on the house, when I was thinking I was going to have to dump more money into my old roof. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and can tell you after reaching out to multiple roofing companies, they are the best in the greater Columbia/Lexington area. Andrew and Daryl are top notch, very professional, and definitely here to help you."

"Mr. Alexander did a thorough inspection of my leaking 15 yr roof, and gave me a quote for repairs and for replacement. He certainly knows his business. He took pictures of the damage and explained all the problems in the pictures. I opted for replacement His crew was very courteous and prompt. They were finished in 2 days. His crew also did some carpentry work which was excellent I got 3 quotes for the job, and his price was the same or less than the other two."

"I was very pleased with the supervision of the Project Manager. He met me on-site to answer questions and made recommendations based on what I needed. He was on-site during the removal and installation process making several trips to secure insulation and plywood decking which they found missing on the structure once the existing roof was removed. Tom stayed in touch with me via text, phone or in person throughout the process. The owner came out on the final day to inspect the work and meet with me. He was also present during the actual work. "My overall experience was good. The job was to be performed in three parts over two to three days: (1) scraping the ceiling; (2) re-taping and mudding the seams and mudding the nail and screw heads; and (3) painting the ceiling. It ended up taking two workers three days (they worked roughly 4-5 hours per day) accomplishing one of the three tasks each day. The workers took care in keeping everything clean by covering the walls and floor with plastic during the entire project. Repair of the seams and covering of the nails and screw heads was good. Sanding of the ceiling along the edges near the walls and near the attic access door and light fixture,etc. was not as thorough as as could have been done, leaving some areas with excess/un-sanded mud. The paint was applied by spaying with some small areas of the ceiling only having a thin coat over the sheetrock. I scored the quality of work as fair and the overall job as good based on what I paid for the work that was performed. After all, this was my garage ceiling not a bedroom or kitchen ceiling. I wasn't expecting the Sistine Chapel and I didn't get it. There wasn't the attention to detail that I would expect if this was a ceiling in a living area of my home. However, it did accomplish what I wanted: to stop the popcorn from falling and improve the unsightly look of the garage."
