"We worked with several people at Integrity, all whom were knowledgeable about the products they sell. The floor looks great and was installed well. Everyone was punctual and did exactly what they said they would do. <br /> We did have a concern, but it was resolved to our satisfaction. They initially recommended and quoted us a price for underlayment that was not the correct material to install under Marmoleum. If we had used it, it would have voided our warranty. Our installer caught the mistake when he came to preview the job, so it was caught in time, but we were worried that the total cost of the job would be higher than the competitor, who we didn't go with because Integrity's price was lower. Integrity didn't even charge us for the more expensive underlayment because it was their mistake. So, it was nice to see that Integrity has...you know...integrity! <br /> As a side note, the installer that contracted with Integrity to do our job was Ryan Case. He was professional and experienced, and the install went off perfectly. I will ask for him by name when it comes time to have more flooring installed. <br />"

"This outfit is a delight to deal with.  They showed us exactly what we asked for and were very patient with us as we chose a vinyl pattern.  They gave us multiple pieces of vinyl to take home to help with our decision.  Due to the fact that this was due to a broken pipe, we were rather stressed throughout the entire "rebuild" and Jerry could not have been easier to deal with.  His carpet/vinyl folks arrived on time and did a wonderful, professional job.  The sub-contractor that did our extra tile work was a wonderful craftman. <br />"

"Great service. Met Gary at the store and able to look at a variety of selections. He explained the different types of flooring options and how install works. We had carpet and tile work done. Scheduling was timely and the flooring looks great. Very happy with the service and staff at Tim’s. Refer them all the time as a customer and a Real Estate Agent."

"<p>We had a bad experience with the big home improvement store in town, we are not local so it was hard to find a reputable carpet place in town.  We are glad we found Corvallis floor covering.  We were able to do most of it over the phone and they were very accommodating.  They did what they said with no nickel and diming you.</p> <br />"

"I hired Environmental Works on the recommendation of a co-worker. Not only was it the least expensive of the three bids I received but it was also the only company that offered a lifetime guarantee on its work. The entire installation of a radon mitigation system in my home took less than six hours. The company guarantees that its radon mitigation system can keep radon levels below 2.7 pCi/L. A three-month radon monitoring test, completed ten months after the installation of my mitigation system, indicated radon levels at 1.4 pCi/L. I am very pleased with the work that was performed at my home."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Sweet Home, OR

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
