"I had Crawlspace Kings come out for basement waterproofing and they seriously exceeded my expectations. From the first inspection to the final walkthrough, everything was explained clearly and professionally. They took the time to show me exactly where the moisture issues were coming from and laid out a solid plan to fix it. The crew was on time, respectful, and worked hard the entire time. You can tell they actually care about doing the job right, not just getting in and out. After everything was finished, my basement feels completely dry and I have so much more peace of mind knowing it’s protected long-term. If you’re dealing with moisture, leaks, or just want to prevent future problems, I 100% recommend Crawlspace Kings. Super reliable, honest, and great quality work."

"Chance did a great job coming out looking at our basement and then knowing what our Radon readings were over a few months time recommended our system. He did a professional job on installation and it looks good. It matches our house so it doesn't stand out. Now our readings are below required normal and our basement smells great since the system pulls out excess moisture too. Chance is very professional. Great to work with. I would hire him again. I would recommend Chance for any of your Radon needs. "

"Horrible, dishonest, quality was subpar. Wouldn't hire and the timeframe is a money grab. Please take my advice and use another company. Shane and his crew shouldn't be in remodeling but maybe just demo work. "

"The first company we called, was slow to respond and tried to reschedule the morning they were supposed to deliver. The RC team was professional, kind, honest, on time, and we are very satisfied with the value. They followed up to make sure everything was working right and that we were satisfied with the work and product. That's the way customer service should be. Excellent!"

"Riddle me this...we paid for a termite inspection for a home we purchased. We were told there were no visible signs of termite damage. Part of our crawl space was not accessible but not where termite damage was found. Five other contractors who went in our crawl space found the damage no problem. Not sure we understand why Bentley is not taking responsibility for their inspector's gross negligence? Now attorney has been contacted and we are forced to file suit for estimated $20k in damage that Bentley's inspector missed. What ever happened to companies doing the right thing? Unbelievable. Hope no one else has any problems since they give you the run around then tellyou they have filed an insurance claim but refuse to give you a copy of the declination showing claim was filed. Get the certificate for insurance!!"

FAQs for radon gas abatement projects in Sweetwater, TN

The only way to know whether your home or water supply contains radon is to schedule a professional test. A qualified radon inspector will collect samples, deliver lab-verified results, and explain the findings for $150 to $800. Once you know your exact levels, you and your radon mitigation pro can choose the right system and tackle the problem before it affects your family’s health.

Both roles tackle radon, but they focus on different steps. Inspectors test your home, interpret the results, and determine whether levels exceed EPA guidelines. Mitigation pros design and install the system that lowers those levels. Some companies do both, but the skills and equipment differ, so always verify that the person you hire is properly certified for the specific service you need.

Installing a mitigation unit fixes radon problems by reducing indoor gas levels to established safe standards. A system designed and installed by a mitigation expert, tailored to your home's specific layout and foundation, guarantees effective radon reduction. This expert installation ensures consistent performance over time while safeguarding your indoor air quality.

Open windows and doors do not reduce radon levels because they trigger a pressure imbalance that draws radon-laden air into your home. This practice fails to control radon concentration and can even worsen the issue. An active suction mitigation system provides a proven, safe, and effective solution to reliably reduce radon levels.

Radon mitigation systems generally last between 10 and 30 years, depending on system type and maintenance. Passive systems endure the longest because they have no moving parts, whereas active systems, which use a fan, require fan replacement every 5 to 10 years. System components, such as PVC pipes, seals, and fittings, can remain effective for decades when paired with periodic inspections and proper maintenance.

Radon mitigation systems consume between 300 and 3,000 kWh of electricity per year, depending on fan size and system design. On average, an active radon fan draws 100 to 300 watts continuously, which translates to roughly 876 kWh annually, and adds $30 to $300 to your energy bill each year. Choosing a high-efficiency fan and ensuring tight sealing around pipes helps minimize these ongoing costs.
