"CATASTROPHIC INSTALLATION FAILURE - ABANDONED JOB WHEN CONFRONTED Hired Ardelean Flooring to install 270 sq ft of hardwood flooring. The floor failed within 4 months due to improper installation. When I removed the buckled boards, I discovered: ? Many boards had NO FASTENERS AT ALL ? Where fasteners existed, spacing was up to 18 inches (industry standard is 6-8 inches) ? Failed to use manufacturer-required glue assist for 4" planks THE ABANDONMENT: After the floor buckled, we scheduled remediation a month in advance. On the scheduled day, he texted that he was at "another project north of Seattle" and would arrive late afternoon. When I confronted him with evidence of the installation failures, he: - First offered to "help make things right" - Then complained about "rude communication" when confronted with not showing up - Finally abandoned the job entirely via text: "At this point, I think it's best you hire the other guy""
