"Alex is trustworthy, truthful and fair. Amiro and Scott are timely, friendly, fastidious, conscientious and knowledgeable. When I was able to be home, they would show me what was happening or anything that they found that should be addressed. They were suggestions made without pressure. When all the work was done, the premises were cleaned and neat. When the fascia was opened up, additional problems were found and remedied reasonably. Considering all the side issues we encountered due to an old termite problem, the experience went very smoothly, especially for an old widow! Alex & Amiro always communicated with me and there was never radio silence if I had a concern. I will be using them again for other jobs around the house and would highly recommend them to anyone."

"My main contact was Oscar and he was very professional and performed a great job all around. Appreciated he and his team were always on time and kept me informed of the progress. Oscar made sure to double check what I wanted as far as color options, layout and trimmings. He gave very good advice but I never felt pressure to do things his way, instead his way of looking at the job was to give me exactly what I wanted. This was very clear when the job was finally complete but I felt something was still missing (the paint was exactly the shade I had selected but something was bugging me). I contacted Oscar three days later to ask him if he could do an accent wall to bring everything together. Without hesitation Oscar offered to redo the wall at no extra cost to me and worked on it himself on a Sunday morning. He actually had to paint the same wall two different colors until I was 100% happy with the shade and then he even took the time to install some new House Numbers and Mailbox I had just purchased since he was already there. Really a customer satisfaction company and I'll be sure to recommend to friends and family in the future."

"SPM is the best. My house looks beautiful! I contracted them to repaint the whole exterior of the house and to retouch some rooms on the inside. They left the house looking like if it was recently built! The next property they will be doing for us is our beach house in the keys ! 10/10 will recommend!"

"They put holes in the driveway and then fill them with foam.  So I use them, I was pleased with them.  They were very good. I had a wash out under my driveway where the sand came out.  They drilled holes and they used liquid foam. Then the foam hardens up so it stabilizes the driveway. I had a little crack in my driveway and I didn't want it getting worse, so they stabilized it with that foam. I was pleased with their work. They were honest. When they drilled the holes some paint came off of my painted driveway. My paint oxidized already so when I repainted those circles, I think the circle is like a half an inch circumference, so there are a few holes there, two holes came, two holes had paint that it just took off the paint. That's the only thing that bothered me, that was it. So if I had paint that didn't oxidize I would be able to patch it up, you know, like painted over and it wouldn't be bad. They had to cancel twice on me because it just couldn't be helped, it had to do with family matters, so that was no problem. They were very nice when they showed up. On a painted driveway be more careful when drilling holes because two holes, to shoot the foam in, a little paint came off on two holes, it had to be touched up."

"Received quote for $10,000.00 only labor. I had to source or solicit materials. So unsure of full amount. <br />Ended up painfully hiring local tile installer and ended doing project on my own for about half including materials <br />"

"I contacted a number of roofers when planning the expenditure.  Several of them seemed knowledgeable, straightforward, and helpful.  Some negatives that we encountered with the "others", even some who seemed otherwise promising: <br /> 1.  price <br /> 2.  a hunch (too aggressive/pushy and sure of themselves) <br /> 3.  tendency to recommend  some materials which were just not cost-justified <br /> 4.  tendency to provide answers which were incorrect, eg, question of whether to install ridge vents on shingle roof in So FL.  <br /> We went through Hurricane Andrew and re-roof in '92, so we knew at least some of the pitfalls, etc) <br /> TONY IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF EXPERT CRAFTSMAN COMBINED WITH GOOD BUSINESS SENSE.  THIS RESULTS IN MAX VALUE TO THE CUSTOMER! <br />"

"The package was to include caulking and minor repairs, all exterior painting, washing and prepping of all surfaces, and labor. Paint was to be paid for by the homeowner. We ALSO had to purchase the caulking, the blue tape and papers for covering the windows. They were to start on either March 31 or April 1, but when I called Mike to let him know they could start on Apr. 1, he said they had another job to do that day, and they would start on April 2. They did start on April 2nd, but never showed up until almost 10 in the morning, and the same thing happened on the two following days. Mike did very little of the actual work, he left many, many times, especially on the first 2 days. He seemed to spend a lot of time on his cell phone, when the others were working. His "helpers', Julian and Marty, did 90% or more of the actual work, and they worked well. On the third day, when they thought they were done and were packing up to leave, we had to point out to them areas that needed to be touched up or finished. They also had to use our ladders which were in our garage, as they didn't seem to have any of their own. <br />     I also hired Mike to pressure wash our pool deck and fence, and we'd agreed on a price ($200) but the work was done by Marty and Julian, again. Mike told me at least 3 times during the course of the 3 days that he hadn't been paid by Angie's List yet, that Angie's List took 30% of his pay, and asked more than once about the price of the pressure washing. I told him that I paid up front for the entire job when I contracted him on Angie's List. We were considering having some additional staining or painting work done to the fence by Mike, but changed our minds by the third day. I feel that he may be having some financial stress, but that is not my concern with a contractor. I expect the contractor to keep his personal problems to himself. <br />"

"Warmzone has been very responsive. However, the installers made mistakes installing the system and when they went to correct it, somehow caused damage that made the system inoperable. They had to come back a year later and redo it. Now it works pretty good. Every time I've had questions Warmzone has been very responsive. i would use them again--but use their recommended installers and not my contractors who did it last time. <br /> One caveat: The system doesn't always work perfectly in very cold weather with fast accumulating snow. We have old-fashioned clay brick pavers. Next time I'll send Warmzone a sample of the pavers so that they can test for the power needed to operate the system effectively. <br /> But--they sell a great product and they're very helpful to deal with. They'll get right on the phone with you and troubleshoot, even long after the sale. <br />"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Tavernier, FL

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
